The Basics

To avoid spending hours in line at the Accademia Gallery, snag skip-the-line tickets in advance or opt for a private guided tour. David is unsurprisingly popular and set in one of the most crowded parts of the gallery—for the best photo ops, book a coveted, exclusive, early-access tour. To maximize your time in Florence, choose a half- or full-day tour that visits both the Accademia Gallery and the Uffizi Gallery or also includes a city sightseeing tour.

Day in Florence
This was a good tour and we learned alot about history and the Florence area. My only concern is that the tour is split in 2 parts and it was not entirely clear how the afternoon at Uffizi was supposed to go. It worked out fine but we did have to ask at the end of the morning session to find out the time and confirm the meeting spot.

Skip-the-Line Florence Accademia Gallery monolingual small Group Tour
Our guide was very knowledgeable and took time to explain many paintings and sculptures. There were only 4 in our small group, so it really was a private tour.
Wonderful tour with Chiara!

Best of Florence: Small Group Tour Skip-the-Line David & Accademia with Duomo
Stephanie was incredible. My husband and I were amazed by her wealth of knowledge. We were never bored during the three hour tour and we spent time that evening talking about all we had learned. The entire tour was fascinating from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour with Stephanie as your guide.
Awesome time saver

Skip the Line: Florence's Accademia Gallery Priority Entrance Ticket
It was great to be able to skip the horribly long line for tickets. We enjoyed the museum and the man to get the ticket was outside holding a TripAdvisor sign. My husband was a little sketched out but they were informative on how to find him and get the ticket via email
Worth the money.

Skip the Line: Florence Accademia Gallery Tickets
It is a relatively limited museum and could be overlooked because of time constraints. But when I spend thousands of dollars to visit Florence the cost of seeing David is worth the money and time saved.
A great tour!

Great collection of arts! You feel the real story of Florence and it’s artists! Statue of David is unreal, but the collection of paintings are as good as it gets!

What Not to Miss at the Accademia Gallery

The scale of Michelangelo’s David (carved from a single block of Carrara marble) is enough to impress, but its fine details and lifelike features make it a true masterpiece. Travelers spend most of their time admiring David, but those interested in Michelangelo’s life and other works should also see his unfinished San Matteo or Prigioni that adorn the main hallway. The plaster model of Giambologna’s Rape of the Sabine Women also shouldn’t be missed.
