The Basics

The Last Supper is incredibly popular, and it can be very difficult to get access. In order to preserve the mural, a maximum of 30 visitors are allowed to view the painting at any one time, and only for 15 minutes.

Fortunately, tours can help you lock in those high-demand tickets and customize your experience—spend a day visiting Milan's must-see sites with an art historian guide; opt for an expedited tour with skip-the-line The Last Supper access; or combine The Last Supper with stops at the Milan Duomo, the La Scala Opera House, and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

Excellent tour of Milan, the Duomo and The Last Supper
Really enjoyed this walkaround tour of Milan. Our guide was informative and friendly, and the Duomo and The Last Supper were spectacular. A good way to see the sights of Milan if you are short on time.

Milan Half-Day Sightseeing Tour with da Vinci's 'The Last Supper'
It was a wonderful hot day exploring all the beautiful sites of Milan. They were accommodating for a late arrival and the guide spoke English well. My only recommendation is to provide stops to get water bottles filled.

Good tour. We opted to skip some.parts of it to minimize aggravating an injury, the company was a little hard to communicate with but ultimately we worked it out and the guide found us and all was good.

Milan Half-Day Sightseeing Tour with da Vinci's 'The Last Supper'
The Last Supper was definitely the highlight of this tour. The tour did include the major highlights of Milan. The guide was knowledgeable but kept saying “left” when she meant right. Also guides need to have a designated place to visit the restrooms due to it being a 4 hour tour.

Our tour guide, Christina, was outstanding. She was excited about her tour and made it fun as well as informative. We had a problem with a pick pocket before the tour. Christina was very helpful with her help. This tour was excellent!

Da Vinci's Milan

Often considered the city of Da Vinci—and his adopted hometown—Milan is home to many of the polymath's most famous works, including The Last Supper. After admiring said painting, head to the Ippodromo di Milano to admire a horse sculpture modeled on Da Vinci's drawings; then, visit the Ambrosiana Gallery where you can marvel over his Codex Atlanticus, as well as pieces by Caravaggio and Raphael.
