The Basics

Book skip-the-line tickets to save time at the perennially popular Louvre or attend with an art expert guide for a more in-depth visit—art lovers and novices alike will benefit from such insight. Private tours are a good option for those with specific interests, while audio guides are also available. Alternatively, combine the Louvre with stops at the Eiffel Tower, Montmartre, and Notre Dame Cathedral.

Highlights of the antiquity section include the Seated Scribe and Venus de Milo. From the Renaissance, don't miss famous works by Michelangelo, Raphael, Botticelli, and Titian. French 19th-century masterpieces include Gericault's The Raft of the Medusa and the work of David and Delacroix.

Our guide's, presentation, breadth of knowledge and passion for his subject brought the exhibits to life; and his putting them all within the context of the time they were made deepened our understanding and increased our enjoyment.

Louvre Museum Timed Entrance Access with Cruise Ticket
Unfortunately, there were mobs of other tourists—an unavoidable fact in July. It was difficult to social distance or avoid coughing! But the Louvre is the Louvre — so wonderful!
Worth it!

Louvre Museum Skip-the-Line Guided Tour with Venus de Milo & Mona Lisa
The Louvre is gigantic, so unless you are visiting to see specific exhibits, this tour is worth it to see the highlights and provide historical context. We thought we'd run around the Louvre after the tour, but 3 hours was enough and we were satisfied! Definitely worth skipping the line and buying this tour in advance. While tourism is not supposed to be completely back to normal due to Covid, the lines were long enough that we were happy not to have to be part of them!

Louvre Tour with Private and Outdoor Options
The meetup location was well described and we had no issues finding our guide. Our tour guide, Austin, was very knowledgeable and provided wonderful information about the Louvre and surrounding area. After the outdoor tour, Austin showed us how to enter the Louvre where there was a relatively short line. I would highly recommend this tour especially if you haven’t been to the Louvre before.
Great tour, I learned a lot!

Louvre Museum Ticket & Seine River Cruise
Louvre is definitely a must do experience in Paris. Dint care so much for the sienne river cruise. Book a smaller boat to get the full experience. However the cruise was relaxing.
Louvre the fast way.

Louvre Highlights Tour: Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo & Crown Jewels
Avi did a good job getting us in the Louvre so quick and painless. He did a good job pointing out the highlights of the highlights. Tour lasted 2 hours but felt like 10 minutes. Great tour for my limited attention span!

Kids and Families Skip-the-Line Private Louvre Tour in Paris
Absolutely magical experience. Ask for Tatiana. Our daughter was entranced by her. It was like Eloise goes to the Louvre I can’t say enough good things - I’ve studied art history and still I learned even though it was geared to her we never waited - book this tour and request her. This was one of the best museum experiences in my life

Private Tour Louvre Museum
We were able to tour the Louvre and allowed to view some of the most important works. The Louvre is a HUGE museum and one to take in small bites. We had a great introduction to the museum. Julieta was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable and knew exactly where to get the best pictures. Lovely

The Louvre was amazing! A little overcrowded but it was the height of the season. We arrived late but staff accommodated very nicely.
Precise and interesting without being too long

Louvre Museum Skip the Line Must-Sees Guided Tour
Great way to see and learn about the Louvre. Shown all the important works of art and design. My only criticism is that the tour guide should wear something to stand out because I spent half my time trying to look for her in the crowds of people.
More to love about the Louvre!

Louvre Museum Semi-Private Skip the Line Guided Tour
We’ve been to the Louvre before, yet the tour introduced us to new areas. The moat of the palace and stories were very interesting! And, the palace rooms on the upper floors were opulent. Both areas we had never visited. Our guide Cristina was great and super knowledgeable!! 💗

Underrated Artworks at the Louvre

Most visitors flock to the Mona Lisa, but the Louvre is so much more than da Vinci's moody muse. Make time for Ingres' Grande Odalisque, an 18th-century nude; the cheeky 16th-century Gabrielle d’Estrées and One of Her Sisters; and a Goya classic—The Countess del Carpio. You can even explore the ruins of the fortress upon which the Louvre is built.
