The Basics

Pass through the vast bronze doors and stand under the center of the dome, where light (and sometimes rain) shines down into the open interior, before learning about the building’s history and architectural design with a local guide on a small-group or private guided tour.

Many other tour options, lasting three to four hours, combine a visit to the Pantheon with skip-the-line entry to the Colosseum or other popular Roman highlights such as the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, and the Roman Forum. You can also admire the Pantheon from the steps of the obelisk in Piazza della Rotonda.

Rome in one day!
Amazing! We saw a lot more than I thought. There is quite a bit of walking and this is a 3 hour tour (which it says on the site, but we had people in our group who were unaware). Our tour guide was amazing. Would recommend for someone trying to see Rome in a day!

Pantheon Guided Tour
Sakura itself was great and our guide was amazing. He was funny, charming, and really explained everything very well. We even got to see acquire perform in the pantheon which was an added treat. If you are going on the weekend, then I highly recommend a story like this. If you are going during the week, it is probably something that you can do on your own if you are looking for a simple pantheon trip. If you are looking for something a bit more in depth then this is for you.
Not to be missed!

Pantheon: The Official Audio Guided Tour
For this tour, visitors are issued samsung phones with a recorded informational program describing each section of the magnificent Pantheon! It is truly an architectural triumph surviving the grim middle ages and then recognized for its monumental importance.

Pantheon: The Official Audio Guided Tour
Didn’t realize a ticket is required for Pantheon entry on Sundays. Booked this late the night before. Got there about an hour early as viator recommended. Line was long but we got in in about 30 mins. Audio program was excellent. This was by far cheaper than any other online options we found and totally worth it.
A trip really great

Pantheon Guided Tour
Great tour guide. Jobe was able to truly connect with us using his pop culture references to put history in modern day perspective. This was my 2nd time touring the Pantheon and this guide was way better than the first one. I feel I really learned the history. Jobe was amazing and he also came with picture taking tips;)
A lot of history in a 4 hour tour

Colosseum, Piazza Pantheon and Roman Forum Small Group Tour Skip the Line
She was very knowledgeable on the subject matter and pointed out all details of the building, art work and especially the subject matter as to the elevation of the original buildings built when the Pantheon was constructed. She added a church that had magnificent ceiling artwork that was not listed on the tour which was priceless. The Forum and Collisium information was very impeccable

Pantheon Elite Tour
There was a little confusion about what time our tour was. I signed up for 4pm, but they had us join 1/2 thru a different tour that started before ours because they were supposed to be closing the Pantheon at 4 for mass. Because of this, we missed the introduction, but what we did hear was amazing. I didn’t catch the tour guide’s name, but he was knowledgeable & funny.

  • Wear comfy shoes, as walking tours are among the most popular ways to see this site.

  • Book a bus tour or a take a cool walking night tour around the illuminated fountains and buildings to avoid the worst of Rome's heat.

  • Bring your appetite on a food tour of Rome’s historical center that passes the Pantheon.

  • As the Pantheon is an active religious building, flash photography and loud conversations are discouraged.

  • The Pantheon is free to visit and open every day.

When to Get There

The Pantheon is open and popular with visitors every day. To see the building buzz with energy, attend weekend public mass, held Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 10:30am. Though the interior is not open at night, seeing the illuminated ancient architecture after dark is worth a visit in itself.

Things to do Nearby

The Pantheon is one of Rome’s top attractions, but there’s plenty more to see and do nearby. Don't miss the stunning Gothic interior of the Santa Maria Sopra Minerva church, just one block behind the Pantheon; then, continue on to the Spanish Steps on the Piazza de Spagna or head to the Trevi Fountain to make a wish.
