Madurodam

George Maduroplein 1, 2584 RZ The Hague

The Basics

This miniature park allows you to discover the Madurodamers working, relaxing, watching a football match, and just going about their lives. Check out Madurodam’s fully functionally harbor, trains, and airport. The model city even has carefully manicured gardens made with real flowers and plants at a quarter of real size. All of the important Dutch cities—including Rotterdam, the Hague (with its International Court of Justice), Delft, and Amsterdam (including the Peace Palace)—are rendered in accurate lifelike representations.

You can purchase tickets at the park or in advance. You can also make your way to the miniature town as part of a guided tour; popular options combine a visit to Madurodam with city sightseeing tours of Delft and the Hague.

Kids had a great time. The KLM aircraft was super! The playing ground was so fun for children. In one word super attraction for family.

Day Tour to Rotterdam, Delft, The Hague Incl. Madurodam or Royal Delft
A great tour with a great guide. We were picked up a bit late due to some confusion of where we were suppose to be. Alex was awesome throughout our tour and learned a lot about these 3 cities. The only negative was a family that decided to talk on their phone the whole day. If I would have known this I would have taken the other tour on the bus (less money)instead of the mini van option.

Kinderdijk and The Hague Small-Group Tour with Mauritshuis, Escher or Madurodam
Kinderdijk is not only a wonderfully preserved group of windmills, but you get to go inside them and see what it is like to live in one. There are also mill workers present to explain the workings and history. I enjoyed that the site was authentic and not touristy. Also, the driver pointed out interesting landmarks and history along the entire route, especially in The Hague.

Kinderdijk and The Hague Small-Group Tour with Mauritshuis, Escher or Madurodam
The tour was just the right size. A total of 6 visitors in a Mercedes minivan. The sights were extremely worth seeing, especially through the very knowledgeable eyes and words of our guide. It was rainy and windy most of the day but that didn't bother or minimize our enjoyments of the Delft factory, the Kinderdijk windmills, the fabulous Maritshuis Museum in the Hague or the very intimate sightseeing tour of the Hague.

Kinderdijk and The Hague Small-Group Tour with Mauritshuis, Escher or Madurodam
Excellent trip. The windmills really were something special. There are museum ones you can enter and look around. Plenty of information provided about how they work and their history. The stop and the delft factory was really lovely. It gave a great overview of how it's made and there is absolutely no pressure to buy anything. The tour of the Hague included all the highlights and it was great to see the painting"Girl with a pearl earring". Bram is an excellent guide and really it is he who makes the trip so good. He is very personable and easy going and full of information. He was enthusiastic and really wanted us to have a good trip.
