"So glad I did this! Traveling solo, I usually explore on my own, but the area requires a car. Estefan was a fantastic guide, giving us plenty of interesting details along the way. It was a small group which was nice. We saw so much in a day! The winery was a small family one in the middle of town, so we were able to explore LaGuardia as well. We also stopped to see architectural gems by Gehry and Calatrava along the way, a nice extra! If you like medieval villages this is a great tour as well. 100% recommend!"

"Wow, wow, wow - what a terrific day we spent with Zach beginning with prompt pickup at our hotel. We conversed non-stop on the way to San Sebastian - Zach was warm, friendly and full of local knowledge and history of the area. Once in San Sebastian we did a lovely walking tour around town, including the market, the coastline, the harbor, city hall (aka former bull fighting arena), beautiful parks, historic buildings and more! Viewed the most beautiful vistas and took great photos of the beach and harbor from the highest peak nearby town. Next stop was lunch at a harborside openair cafe - whole turbot grilled over an charcoal fire with sides of tomato salad, fries and refreshing Txakoli (pronounces Chacoli) white wine, a local favorite - AMAZING! Our ride back to Bilbao was along the coastline road. Around every turn was another lovely beach setting, waves crashing on rocks, surfers trying to catch a wave - much more interesting and memorable than the autoroute. Last stop on our tour was viewing the Flysch in the town of Zumaia - amazing geological formations along the beach which are more than 60 million years old - sensational! Zach made sure our day was informative, relaxing and enjoyable -many thanks!"

"I took this tour on September 22nd. We were a group of eight, four English speakers and four Spanish speakers. Our guide was Stefan. He had the job of explaining details of the visited sights in English and in Spanish. He did the job perfectly for the entire 9 hours with non-stop enthusiasm and good humor. What Stefan knows about the Basque region and culture is amazing, possibly more than most other Basque people themselves. Our lunch in a former convent was great. Highest praise for this tour and our guide Stefan."

"Incredible, once in a lifetime trip. We only had one day to experience the the Basque area and our guide Martin made the most of it. The scenery, the history, the view points crowned by a visit to Bilbao, old and new, and the visit to the amazing Guggenheim museum was truly wonderful. We traveled at our own pace and it was delightful. We tried to walk to the shrine of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe but were to old and it was too hot and we only made it to the last viewpoint. But it was worth the try."

"We were fortunate to have a small group of 7 lovely people and an excellent guide called Gorka, who spoke fluently in both Spanish and English and was exceptionally informative. San Sebastián had already been on my list of things to do in and around Bilbao but I would never have thought of Getaria! It is a pretty little fishing village. We stopped for a walk and refreshments of local wine and fresh fish. San Sebastián didn’t disappoint and it was lovely to have a couple of free hours for lunch.
