Grand Canyon West Rim

Pierce Ferry Road To Diamond Bar Road

The Basics

The West Rim is an ideal day trip destination from Las Vegas, Nevada. Hike the area, visit the Western-style Hualapai Ranch for food and themed activities, or step onto the famous Grand Canyon Skywalk—a glass bridge near Guano Point that allows visitors to see the Colorado River flowing 4,000 feet (1,219 meters) beneath their feet. The West Rim is a popular destination for helicopter tours from Las Vegas, which give travelers a bird’s-eye view of the canyon and nearby attractions such as the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. For a special treat, opt for a sunset helicopter tour that includes Champagne. Bus tours from Vegas offer a different perspective and sometimes also include a visit to Joshua Tree National Park.

Grand Canyon West Rim Bus Tour & Hoover Dam Photo Stop with Optional Skywalk
Our guide, Parker, was brilliant - interesting and local so well informed. Breakfast stop could have been better. Great food but only lukewarm and table, condiments etc. needed a good clean. Idiot with child very nearly ruined the whole day with his stupidity. Luckily, not in our party. Had to see it to believe it.

A fantastic time with our pilot Adam Keen. Extremely clean and comfortable helicopter expertly piloted through beautiful scenery, including the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam / Lake Mead. I would recommend making this tour a cornerstone of your trip to the Las Vegas area. I plant to do this every time I am out here. Suitable for all ages.

We had an amazing day ! Robert was an incredible guide!! We learned a lot thanks to him. He is very nice and funny. I recommend 100% this trip with the company and especially with the driver Robert. The bus is air conditioned and clean. The lunch is included. Take the skywalk tickets it's really worth it! (But you can't have your phones on it).

Extended Grand Canyon West Rim Air-Only Helicopter Tour
From pick up to drop off this tour was A+. Everything went as planned, was on time (even early!) and professional. The lobby is great with lots of space, free lockers and clean restrooms. Our pilot was fantastic - and a comedian. Knows the sea well. Ninety minutes in a helicopter and we saw it all. Better than expected. Seems expensive until you go, then realize it was all a good value. Nothing was second rate - everything was first class.

History of the West Rim

Although the Hualapai Indian Reservation was created in 1883, the Grand Canyon West Rim area wasn’t developed until 1988, when 2,100 members of the Native American tribe decided to open their ancestral lands to visitors. In addition to its stunning viewpoints, the area now offers white water rafting, scenic hiking trails, and rustic lodging to travelers.
