The Basics

ArtVo is divided into 11 themed galleries. Soar on a paper airplane over the Sydney Opera House or box with a kangaroo and joey in the Australiana gallery; pose in front of the Taj Mahal or take a gondola ride in Venice in the World Tour gallery; or sit in King Kong’s hand or grab giant piece of sushi in the Imagine gallery. Trained staff is on hand to assist with photos, poses, and creative inspiration.

Prebook your ArtVo tickets to save time. Art lovers can combine a stop here with a street art tour of Melbourne's city lanes and alleyways. Amazing to see the talent on display and to watch people enjoy the experience and becoming part of the art work. Good for a laugh also.

ArtVo Immersive Gallery Experience
Very large galleries with many 3d pictures. Every interaction with the art has pictures where to stand and how to pose. The staff are very friendly and help out with group shots. Families to couples, friends; people of all ages smiled there way through the chambers of discovery. You need to bring a camera and a second person. (Camera with a timer and tripod would work too if you want to do it on your own).

Met up with some like minded adults and we had a ball. Whoever said that sitting on the floor getting your photo taken was childish, have obviously not been to Artvo.

There are many things about ArtVo that I liked, but the best part of the experience? A staff member called Terri made what was an already fantastic experience for my daughter and I even more magical; she was helpful, kind and was absolutely fantastic towards my girl!

ArtVo Immersive Gallery Experience
Great fun for all ages. Our 5yr and 8 yr old grandsons really got immersed in the process, checking out the poses in the photo taking circle, then posing and even taking photos of us oldies. Good fun looking at the photos after too. Well organized by staff in Covid times with plenty of time to move from one area to another. Well done ArtVo.

Trompe L’oeil

ArtVo and other trick art museums around the world use an optical illusion technique called trompe l’oeil, which means to “deceive the eye.” It’s a technique that uses realistic imagery to create the optical illusion that 2-dimensional painted objects are actually 3-dimensional.
