Ko Olina
The Basics
Stay at one of Ko Olina’s waterfront resorts or visit for a day. All four man-made lagoons offer a relaxing place to swim, free of rocks or waves, with its own atmosphere. Beach chairs crowded with resort guests line Lagoon One, while Lagoons Two and Three offer more laid-back vibes with fewer crowds. Independent visitors may find Lagoon Four the best option, since it is the only lagoon not backed by a resort.
Take to the sheltered waters for snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, fishing, and other water sports, or just relax on the beach. The planned community of Ko Olina also boasts a golf course, shopping, and waterfront restaurants. A broad walking path connects the activities, lagoons, and resorts, making it easy to explore the area on foot.

When to Get There
Set on Oahu’s west side, Ko Olina is an ideal place to catch the sunset. Additionally, its leeward location means the weather is drier than many of the island’s other resort areas, making it a popular destination year-round. If driving, arrive early in the day, as public parking is limited.
Where to Stay at Ko Olina
Ko Olina houses three major resorts, each with its own atmosphere and attractions. Aulani Disney® Resort and Spa, a Hawaiian-themed park, is set just off Lagoon One and caters to families. Also on Lagoon One is the Four Seasons Resort, generally a top choice for couples. The Beach Villas on Lagoon Two offers the area’s most affordable waterfront accommodations. A Marriott overlooks peaceful Lagoon Three.
