Arizona Memorial Way, Honolulu, Hawaii, 96818

The Basics

Pearl Harbor is made up of both the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, which includes the USS Arizona Memorial, the USS Utah, and USS Oklahoma, as well as the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, including the USS Battleship Missouri Memorial, the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, and the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum (formerly the Pacific Aviation Museum). Most tours include just a selection of the many sites; others combine some Pearl Harbor sites with stops at other attractions on Oahu.

Salute to Pearl Harbor
Our tour guide, David, was knowledgeable, entertaining and very well organized. The boxed picnic lunch at Black Beach, and snacks on board were well nice touches, especially since most of the places are just opening up after Covid. I would suggest dropping the first two stops the Kona coffee and the pastry shop; we could saved time and spent more time in the last stop before it got too dark. But on the whole it was totally worth the $$ we paid.

Pearl Harbor: USS Arizona Memorial & USS Missouri Battleship Tour from Waikiki
This was such an enjoyable tour. Eli made it special due to the shoreside dock being closed at the Arizona. Small group size and very careful about Covid protocols.

Salute to Pearl Harbor
Our guide was excellent, but the tour is too long for what to do, if you have read about Perl Harbor, the Second War and the precedents of what happened there, only with the visit to the USS Arizona it is interesting, perhaps due to the restrictions of the covid19, the fact that the films related to the attack, are made in an inappropriate place, makes the visit lose interest, perhaps that is what happened to us

Humu is a great guide. Very funny and knowledgeable of everything and very polite. I would and will recommend him and ur tour to friends. Went through the city afterwards and told us so much history of the city and about the past and present day. The van / bus was clean and washed and very spotless.

Pearl Harbor City Tour
The presenter was obviously new, and still needs a little practice. One tip; when you ask a question answer it in the microphone. Often people in the main bus would answer and he would say that was right. People on the top of the trolley never heard the answer.

USS Arizona Memorial - Honolulu City - Aloha Pearl Harbor Tour - Oahu
Shelly is great, awesome driver/ guide. The reason I chose 4 stars is that it wasn't clearly enough that battleship Missouri was not included in the trip

Salute to Pearl Harbor Tour with Hotel Pickup from Ko Olina
Our guide Colins was knowledgeable with fascinating history. Unfortunately the movie volume was so low nobody could hear it. The ticket should have included more details about what was covered and not covered at the site. I would have payed extra to include the Missouri or Submarine or museum! Individually it would have cost a fortune for the four of us!

Step Back Into History Pearl Harbor Private Tour USS Arizona and USS Missouri
Yolanda, our guide, was amazing. 1. She recognized our timing and did a terrific job of customizing our tour. 2. The historical recording she played plus her additional information provided was very enlightening. 3. She was very concerned about watching our luggage in her vehicle. 4. She made for a perfect day of sightseeing and understanding the history of the Islands and Pearl Harbor. I highly recommend touring with Yolanda.

When to Get There

The Pearl Harbor Visitor Center is open daily from morning to early evening except on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The memorials keep separate hours but are generally open from morning until early evening. Pearl Harbor is popular all year, but the busiest seasons are during spring break and summer and winter holidays. Go early in the morning to avoid crowds and leave plenty of time to see the various sites.

USS Arizona Memorial

The site of the largest number of casualties (1,177 crewmen), the USS Arizona Memorial is the best-known site in Pearl Harbor. The white structure floats over the site of the sunken battleship and is a place of quiet reflection. Tours start at the visitor center, where you’ll watch a film before boarding a shuttle boat to the memorial. Tickets are free but required, as the number of guests allowed in the memorial each day is strictly limited.
