Bougainville Park (Parc Bougainville)
The Basics
Bougainville Park is a popular spot to take a walk through the tropical gardens and admire the ships along the nearby waterfront. For families, a playground with swings and provides active fun. When you get hungry, a snack bar selling small bites is located in the back end of the park. Segway tours around the capital of French Polynesia often stop at the part, as well as other notable attractions, like the municipal market and the cathedral of Papeete.

Notice two cannons sit around the statue of Bougainville, one that was on the SMS Seeadler, a WWI German merchant raider, and the other from the French Navy's Zelee.
