The Basics

Best known for its glittering performances, troupes of glitzily clad Doriss girls, and expertly choreographed French cancan routines, the Moulin Rouge plays host to one of the top shows in Europe. As such, booking in advance is essential to snag a seat for this cabaret spectacular, one of the most sought-after in Paris.

Ticket options range from those which combine VIP seats on a private balcony with a gourmet 4-course dinner and Champagne to those with simple showtime admission; most include round-trip transportation. Or, combine a Moulin Rouge show with a Seine River dinner cruise or city illuminations tour that passes by the Eiffel Tower and more.

amazing acrobats and beautiful dancing women and men adorned in spectacular costumes the costume design alone warrants attending the show very professional, historical and tasteful not for neo Victorians or the politically correct sexy and fun but not so sexy as to be uncomfortable with college age kids

The Rouge experience

Paris Moulin Rouge Cabaret Show with Champagne Only or Dinner
First off, get there early because there’s a line to get in and you want to get good seats. Also bring your Covid vaccination card it is required to get in. If you’ve been to a Las Vegas show, this is a similar concept. Definitely don’t recommend for children. For adults it was very entertaining, lots of exposure and really great stunts. Was left speechless a few times. We were served champagne and there’s an option to add food but eat beforehand.

Paris Moulin Rouge Cabaret Show with Champagne Only or Dinner
Don’t let the “tourist trap” label that Moulin Rouge has associated with it stop you from going. The show is extraordinary! Fast paced, colorful and tons of fun. Extraordinarily talented dancers in a dream of a venue. I look forward to another performance 🎭! 👯‍♀️🕺🏼💃🏻 Side note I was alone and seated with three other couples. Weird for me at first but after a bit of champagne 🍾 the conversation started and we all enjoyed the show-even talked after! Really great 😊 evening! 🙏🇫🇷

This is a great way to combine two experiences in one evening. We loved our river cruise at sunset and watching the city light up. It was well organized and a fun evening.

The History of the Moulin Rouge

Immortalized (and fictionalized) on film by Baz Luhrmann in 2001, the Moulin Rouge has a long and illustrious history. First opened in 1889, the Moulin Rouge was a melting pot of the lower classes, bourgeois writers, artists, and sex workers that enjoyed immediate popularity. It was also home to some of the most famous dancers of the day—including Miss Jenny and La Goulue—who delighted with renditions of the French cancan. Now, it's a Paris must-see.
