The museum is housed in the same building as the Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent, which was founded in 2002 and offered a smaller selection of displays before the museum opened. With double the exhibition space, the museum can feature more of Saint Laurent’s pieces, such as his Le Smoking tuxedo suit, Mondrian dress, and trench coat.
The museum is not typically part of standard city tours but it may be included on fashion-specific itineraries. If you plan to visit independently, book your admission online so you don’t have to wait in the ticket line. Reservations for guided tours must be made in advance.
