Top Sámara Horseback Riding

Escape the tourist crowds and explore some of the less-visited parts of the Samara area on horseback. This small-group tour takes you riding through the jungle and up a mountain where you'll find a spectacular ocean viewpoint. You'll also spot monkeys along the way and get the chance to gallop along a pristine beach.

Enjoy this tour between jungle, river, and beach to the rhythm of the horses’ hooves, calm and docile. The adventure starts as soon as the gate opens: you will cross the Buenavista river followed by the observation of animals and flora in the Guanacaste forest (typical from the region). At the end of the track, the Buenavista Beach: deserted and preserved from any infrastructures. This long beach of grey sand is typically Costa Rican. Your horse will paddle in the waves of the Pacific Ocean coastline for a magic experience. We will found our way back through the field occupied by wild cows and horses. The tour last for about 2 hours and a half. We made only small group for more conviviality but if you are group of 15 you are welcome too ! Barigona beach is a deserted beach. You will love to gallop on the white sand and its crystal clear water. We also cross the rivers, the jungle and the forest of Guanacaste to observe the Wildlife of Costa Rica. We will stop to talk about the fauna and flora as well as to make photo breaks and a small snack. Crossing and/or upriver to observe wading birds, water lizards and maybe the Crocodile! Exploring the jungle and the wonderful forest of Guanacaste and its wildlife: Koatis, howler monkeys, armadillos, birds and multicoloured butterflies… Shower for ponies after the walk. Childrens and adults will be on horseback. The guide keeps the ponies of the little ones on a leash. The stools are adapted. We have helmets and ponies very, very docile. Horseback Riding in Carrillo beach, super close to Samara! A fun way to appreciate the landscapes of Carrillo is through a horseback riding , leaving from the town of Samara , located only 7 km south is Carrillo beach, 1 of the top 5 of best beaches in Costa Rica. You will meet your guide on a local plants shop, where the journey begins. Slow down, peacefull short ride around the beach, perfect for pictures and getting ready for our jungle trail. Going up trail, we can see birds, monkeys and even on rainy season a small waterfall, super quite, relaxing ride, you will be amaze by the ocean view on top, for sunsets is very special.
