35 Old Healesville Road, Yarra Glen VIC, Australia, 3775

The basics

Family-run Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery employs talented local and international chocolatiers and pastry chefs who create a huge range of treats for visitors to buy and sample. Items are displayed in the impressive showrooms, and you can watch these items being made through large glass windows. If you’re not sure what to buy, they offer samples of chocolate and ice cream. However, they don’t offer free samples of their truffle range. If you’re looking for a more substantial meal, these are also sold at the café.

The Yarra Valley Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery can be visited independently, but many travelers visit as part of a guided tour of the Yarra Valley, which includes time at various vineyards and wineries in the region.

Choice of wineries which are unique in their own ways. Wineries were boutique or heritage with large range of wines to suit different palettes. Lunch place was picturesque with great food.

Balgownie was a beautiful venue and the wines were superb. It was great to have a mix of different foods to try with cheese and chocolate, etc. and to get out into the countryside. Our driver Cloe was lovely.

Small-Group Guided Yarra Valley Winery Tour with Wine Tasting
Relaxed tour in a very beautiful corner of the world with a great guide. Drew will make it a memorable day connecting people and showing you some less frequented vineyards. Best trip of my stay. Great for a solo traveller, too.

Yarra Valley Wine Tour with Local Harvest Tastings from Melbourne
John, our guide, was really friendly. The group size was small due to COVID-19, so it was nice and intimate. Wasn't too interested in the beer tasting, but everything else was good. Could have added another winery since we had some extra time. Would recommend to swap out the beer tasting with 1-2 other wineries. Overall, good experience!

Yarra Valley Wine Tour inc lunch with a glass of wine, tastings and chocolate
This tour included wine tastings at 3 vineyards and lunch, with a glass of wine, at another. The lunch was generous and delicious. The last stop was at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie, a sweet way to end the day. There was minimal interaction with our driver however the company of the others on the tour was relaxed and most enjoyable. It would have been nice to do a wine tasting at our lunch stop before we chose our glass of wine. A little ‘tour guiding’ from our driver would also have been appreciated however, as we were a relaxed and easily amused bunch of 5, this did not greatly detract from our enjoyment of the day.
