The Basics

You can spot the iconic waterfall from various vantage points within the park, including Yosemite Village and Yosemite Valley Lodge (formerly Yosemite Lodge at the Falls). For active viewers, a 1-mile loop trail leads to the base of Lower Yosemite Fall, or a strenuous (and usually crowded) 3.5-mile (5.6-kilometer) hike with 2,700 feet (823 meters) elevation gain beginning near Camp 4 hike takes you to the top of Yosemite Falls.

Due to the incredibly popularity of this natural attraction, Yosemite Falls is included in most park tours. You can see the falls, along with other park attractions—El Capitan, Bridalveil Falls, Vernal Falls, Half Dome, the Chapel, and the Cathedral Spires—on a day tour from San Francisco or Fresno.

An amazing experience seeing the wonders of Yosemite and the towering sequoias. Our tour guide Victor took care of us, shared interesting stories and even had relevant movies to keep us occupied on the long drive back to SF. I’m sure it will be a highlight of our vacation!

Víctor, pues driver was si simply amazing. He gave us a lot of information about the park, told stories, anecdotes about the park that make the tour very short besides his sense of humor makes the tour very fun. Also he gave us all the recommendations and advices to make our experience very safety.

Denise is an extraordinary tour guide. She is such a wonderful person personally and professionally. She takes care of everyone in the group tirelessly. Yosemite national park itself is extraordinary and much more beautiful to your eyes than to your camera. The bus is a bit old (no power outlet), but it is still quite comfortable and clean. I personally think that the tour is slightly too long (aprox 15 hours) but thank you to Denise to make this trip memorable!

This trip is perfect if you are looking for high level attractions in Yosemite. If you want to hike or spend significant time at any one place, this is not for you. I am so glad we did this trip, but I wish masks were still enforced given the amount of time you spend in the van with other people. Another person in our group had a bad cough and I now have covid. The description says proof of vaccination required and masks required, but neither were enforced.

I liked bus driver. I think we spent too much time stopping to eat. They bus was very bumpy. I had a hard time today feeling grounded.

This trip came in clutch when we realized a little too late that we needed reservations. Dustin our tour guide did a great job showing us the highlights. Our favorite spot was the Lower Yosemite Falls Trail. You’ll spend your whole time there. Bring food because you won’t want to waste time in the lodge with the limited time you’re down there. 5/5 Experience! Would definitely recommend. Thanks again Dustin!

2-Day Yosemite National Park Tour from San Francisco
Our trip was phenomenal and extremely rewarding. We are city folks who don't have much outdoor experience, and our guide was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We are introverts and not very active people so this was a challenge, the hikes were pretty strenuous on us. I think it was a life-changing experience and our tour guide Jay made it all possible with his guidance and excellent driving thank you!!!

Our guide James was great. He could answer all our questions and we saw way more than we expected. The drive was a bit hilly, so if you’re one that gets a bit motion sick, sit up front. Otherwise, this was worth it in every way!

Natural Phenomena at Yosemite Falls

On a clear night with plenty of moonlight and enough water to create mist, see if you can spot a “moonbow.” During the winter, an ice cone tends to form at the base of the upper fall, while frost accumulates along the edges of the falls.
