The Basics
The Zaragoza Aquarium (also known as the Acuario Fluvial de Zaragoza), offers 70 separate pools that house species from rivers around the world. Highlights include species from the Amazon and Australia’s Murray-Darling that are threatened by climate change. On weekends and holidays, you can also book an experiential tour that lets you go behind the scenes to see how the aquarium’s exhibits work.

Visitors aged 12 and under (or 65 and over) enter for a reduced rate; children younger than 3 enter for free.
Children under 5 cannot join the experiential tours.

How to Get There
The Zaragoza Aquarium is roughy a 10-minute drive (or a 35-minute walk) from the center of town. Zaragoza is about 3 hours from either Madrid or Barcelona by car.
When to Get There
The Zaragoza Aquarium is open daily all year round, with slightly longer hours over the summer. Holiday hours vary—check the schedule before visiting.The aquarium is closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.
