Flamenco Experience at Tablao de Carmen with Dinner or Drink

What an amazing performance. This was the best flamenco experience I’ve ever had in Spain. I highly recommend it. The emotion and dedication of the performers were heartfelt and amazing.

Good food, great music and beautiful dancers. It was in a gothic fortress setting. Very memorable night.

Watching the men signing and playing the guitar as well as the man that danced. While the women were good he was amazing!

Tablao de Carmen left us with mixed emotions. The area where Tablao is located is really cool, I believe it's called Poble Espanyol. Walking into the area where the flamenco is located is gorgeous. Upon arriving, you're probably going to be met with a long line of people waiting to get into the venue. Our tickets said seating would be at 830 and we didn't get seated until about 9pm. We purchased the Seat and Drink option, and when we were seated, this is where our experience went down hill. I won't say anything bad about the service because it seemed like the other servers were attentive, but OUR server was absolutely horrible. It seemed like everyone around us was served wine and tapas and beer, and we weren't even handed a menu. We sat at our seats for 15 minutes before we were handed a menu by the host, not our server. And then it was another 10 minutes before our server took our order. Normally I wouldn't care about slow service, but this was borderline NO service, especially looking around and seeing some tables already on their 2nd carafe of sangria. When we finally got our orders in, the food arrived rather quickly. The tapas were good, we recommend the ensalada ruso. The cava wasn't great. And we weren't asked if we wanted another drink by our server. Other tables had great service and many drinks and tapas, but our experience with our server was terrible, and it took away from the experience of the actual show. The show was good, there is an intermission after just two dancers perform, and then the singers and guitarists come back out and there are 2 more performers that dance, whom are great at their craft. Our server kind of cheated us of a good experience, and our focus was more on the lack of service and the service everyone else was getting, and we were pretty distracted from enjoying the show. Overall, not completely awful and probably just our server was awful. We recommend doing your research for another flamenco option, or book a trip to Madrid and check out Cardamomo. Take a chance on Tablao and hope you don't get our server, hopefully you get the young man with the blonde hair, because he made sure his guests were well taken care of. 3 out of 5 stars, leaning more towards 2 stars because of the cost vs the experience

The actual show was wonderful! We throughly enjoyed this experience! But the food was terrible! Do not get the dinner with show, The sangria was good, and the olives! I had the white fish, which was served rolled up with the skin on, very fishy tasting, I took one bite and yuk, my husband had the steak, which he only took k one bite and said it was the cheapest tasting grade of meat! So the show was the best, food no!

Absolutely amazing! Get the VIP dinner option - one of the owners (the family of Carmen) will explain the history of the venue and some background on Barcelona and the dancers life. Incredible performers and musicians, I was smiling and happy the entire show. They are also very accommodating with our diets - I’m vegetarian and my husband doesn’t eat ham or shellfish and they went out of their way to make us happy.

The energy and passion of the flamenco artist was amazing! This experience is a must while you are in Barcelona.

Amazing night! We were worried it would be a little touristy but it was in a local craft village, the space has been in the same family for two generations and the manager was really happy to talk about the types of flamenco etc. The performance was incredible, the food good and overall it was a wonderful experience!

The dance, the song, the amazing guitar. Add wine and food and the best seats in the house!! This was my second time and it was as anthralling as the first time. Gotta do this.

This is by far the best place for flamenco show in Barcelona. The dancers were amazing and gave all 💯. It was very emotionally moving, apart from incredible mastery of dancing. The singers were great as well and so is guitar player. Highly recommend!
