Pretty good tour

Lots of information provided. One place was closed so tour guide provided similar foods picnic style. Most of the stops were enjoyable. The candy store was a disappointment. Offered the same very tiny sample as they offered all the people who came in to the shop. Tour guide, Kama, added in a lot of history which was great. She was quite personable.

Kamelea and Ellie were great. The foods and drinks we tasted were delicious. I especially liked the clam chowder and avocado fries. Thanks for a great time.

This was a great experience! I would highly recommend doing this at the beginning of your trip so you see the area and know restaurants you would like to visit again. Tour guides were delightful!

Great Food in Kona
Judith_Z
, Apr. 2022
Some of the older iconic restaurants and bars and the background on them were enjoyable. The hostesses were lovely. The food very good although too much sharing with people you don’t know. The stop at the shop selling many things and offering no seating and a tiny piece of chocolate was disappointing. Also, the trip says 1 mile. It may be 1 mike to the end but more like 1.5 and then you have to go back.

The avocado fries at Kona Jack and gelato at Gypsea were the highlights. I never would have tried the clam chowder on a hot day but it was excellent.

I enjoyed hearing about Hawaiian history, and would have loved hearing a little more throughout the tour. Everything else was excellent — restaurant choices, menu and beverage selections, etc.

Kelie and Kris were very accommodating. We needed help with transportation and they made it work for us. Kelie was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of Kona. I highly recommend this tour.

Chris is an excellent tour guide. Food was delicious. One of the best food tours we have ever been on. We have been on food tours throughout the country and world.

Keli and Kris were amazing hosts! If you like history Kris is more than happy to geek out with you. The sights were beautiful and the food and cocktails were delicious. We really enjoyed the company of the other guests as well. It was great to get to know different people from different places (and we are by means means extroverts) Do yourself a favor and book this as the first thing you do.

A must-do on your first few days in Kona if you want to get the most from the town’s restaurants during your stay. Knowledgeable, personable, and delicious.

We visited quite a few places and got a lot of info on Kona. It was very enjoyable. The group size was just right. The only downside was a member of our group needs gluten free food and that was not accommodated.

My wife and I enjoyed this walk through local Kona hot spots. Stand outs to us were the market and farm to table restaurants. We liked them so much we went back after the tour! The tour guides Keli and Kris were both great as well!

Thank you for the review, and for joining us on the Food Tour! We certainly think the Farmer's Market is a great stop, tasting fun fruits and Kona Kay's mac nut brittle! We are glad you enjoyed the tour! Kris & Keli
