Start with pickup at your hotel, then begin the trip to the Tulum Archeological Site, among the most dramatic ancient cities on the Yucatan Peninsula, with stone fortifications overlooking a white sand beach. Learn about the history and culture of the Mayan people, with free time to photograph the ruins before leaving the site.

Continue to the Mexican Caribbean in an air-conditioned vehicle. Get fitted with snorkeling gear, and slip into the water to swim over the coral reef (the fee for Conservation of the Marine Fauna is not included in this tour, and must be paid during the tour).

The afternoon is all about the natural world: follow your guide into a cave that’s bristling with stalagmites and stalactites, then take a walk through the jungle, listening to a forest chorus of tropical birds and animals. Highlight of our Visit

My 14 yr old daughter and I planned one activity during our 5 day trip to Playa Del Carmen … and this was it. It was a great day and delivered a few highlights for our vacation. Tulum was worth seeing, and our guide Lara was very informative- giving us the history and pointing out key sites. We then went snorkeling on the nearby reef. I was really surprised and excited to see multiple stingrays and turtles! And the main highlight was swimming in the cenope. My daughter and I travel a lot, and this was truly memorable to swim in a freshwater cave amongst the stalactites and stalagmites! Again, Lara brought her passion and knowledge for the natural wonder of how these get developed over the ages. Shut out to Jose our driver and Guiermo our photographer!

The Mayan ruins were an amazing site to see in person! So beautiful to see ruins next to the beach. Our tour guide Rafael shared his wealth of knowledge about Mayan history. He was cheerful and funny! Mauri was our driver and he provided snacks for us after walking in the heat at the ruins. He made sure we had the right gear when we completed the snorkeling activity, which was amazing to see stingrays and turtles in the ocean. The cenote activity was one of my favorite activities from the tour. It is located 30 minutes from the Mayan ruins; deep into the tropical area of Tulum. The drive was bumpy but it is expected since the road is not paved. We had a delicious lunch just outside of the cenote. The cenote is nothing like I have ever experienced dnd Rafa again shared his wealth of knowledge as to how the cenote was created by Mother Nature. It is an enclosed caved so if you are claustrophobic, this activity is not for you. We were given life jackets for the swimming in the cenote. We got to jump into the cool water and boy was that fun! This tour met my expectations!

We had a great time!
Ronald_R
, Nov. 2021
We had a blast! Our guide Christina and driver Arturo were the best! I had read reviews of folks complaining about the “unexpected time” of the trip of the pick up and drop off times. We were the first group (of 3 groups total) picked up at 6:50am. We arrived at Tulum at 8:35am and entered at around 9:10am (after meeting up with another group for this part). Our guide was the archeological guide for both tours. We spent maybe 45 mins at Tulum (with both the guided and unguided portions). From there we went a few minutes down the road for the snorkeling. This was a great time. We spent about 45 - 60 mins in the water. We picked up a group photographer at this point and he was with us in the water taking photos. The equipment was adequate worked well for our adventure. From there we heads to the cenote and lunch. We did the cenote first. I won’t lie … the water was cold. However, once we started making our way through the caves we acclimated well. They offered wet suits for an additional fee; however, I don’t fee that they would have been necessary (we didn’t get one … and we survived and enjoyed ourselves just fine). I will say that I didn’t know what to expect with the cenote, but it wasn’t a jaunt through a darkened cave. I enjoyed it immensely!!! The lunch was good. Buffet-style with beans, rice, pasta, and pulled pork, ground beef, and chicken tacos. We departed back for the resort around 2:30pm and as we were the first picked up, we were the last dropped off … we got back to our resort around 4:00pm. We didn’t feel the pick up/drop off times were too bad at all … it kinda comes with the territory. I would recommend this trip for anyone who wants a day off resort that isn’t just shopping.
