Transportation issue...

Transportation issue began in am when van was rear ended, requiring a second van - delay of an hour. Tour guide spoke mostly French, as 8 of 11 of us were from France - I was English speaking, and did not get the same attention/level of explanations on this tour. Ruins were awesome, and I enjoyed the tricycle taxi with the local driver providing me great information! Mayan lunch was good; swimming in the center wasn't great - water very cold. LOTS of walking - be prepared!

Hello Laura: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’re sorry you had a bad experience. We’ll strive to do better.

It was a pretty good trip. We had 10 people in our booking so it was a smaller group. The only downside was that our guide kept lecturing us about not using products because of the cenote, which I totally get, but we were never told upfront before we came to bring biodegradable products. He would call us out in front of everyone else, and as an adult- not so awesome getting a lecture about something you weren't told about beforehand. I put on lotion that was natural with no chemicals in it on my hands and he called me out in front of everyone even though I washed my hands with soap/water before going in the cenote. He also called out another girl who put on sunscreen at Coba. Sorry, but I'm not going to chance getting burned especially when we can wash off before the cenote. Please advise your guests to bring the biodegradable products sunscreen if we need to. Other than that, it was pretty interesting to learn more about the history and culture of the Maya people.

Really interesting at Coba and my guide really knew is history and was happy to take photos for you. The village was interesting to see but not that great and lunch was very average. If you can get a cheaper tour of just Coba would probably pick that instead
