Privilege Experience Isla Mujeres Tour

From the Pick Up to the Drop Off, this excursion was one of the best we have done throughout Mexico. The team onboard did everything to ensure we had a great experience.

The catamaran crew made this experience awesome. They were funny and accommodating. However this trip was marketed as a privilege (VIP) experience and other than the top shelf liquor options on the boat this was anything but. The advertisement says we would be offered a VIP beach club experience on Isla Mujeres but this did not happen. We were sardined on the beach with everyone else, fighting for space on the sand and a seat at a table. Not fun and not as advertised.

Take towels! They were not provided! Otherwise, had a blast! Take this experience! But helps to have previous snorkeling experience! Lunch was awesome! And don't forget the sunscreen!

I would highly recommend booking this experience! They limit the boat to only 25 people, which is the perfect amount of party but you still have space to sit and you don’t have to wait on drinks. The staff was incredible and gave us a truly unforgettable experience full of snorkeling, a private beach lunch and a trip to isla mujeres. The food and drinks were amazing and it is well worth the price!

Not as loaded down with people as other boats. Crew was fun and helpful. Trip was beautiful. Will definitely book again.

Pros: - the team in the boat was fantastic. They were really helpful, great customer services and great variety of drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic). - The private beach that we stop for lunch is really beautiful and the views are really amazing throughout the day. Cons: - the lunch options and quality were less than average. It wasn't good at all. - the snorkeling is in an open sea and as the sea was very agitated, the instructor made every effort to discourage us to try it. He mentioned how he does it every day and still gets back tired to the boat. And that there was a danger to get lost in the sea if we didn't stick together, that the visibility would be very poor, etc. Also not something you can do with kids below 12 years. - we thought you spend too much on the boat in comparison to the time you actually have in the beach to enjoy the day. - I made a mistake at the beginning because I understood that the check in time was the time that they would collect us from the hotel. They sent two separate emails - one acknowledging the tour and a second with the pick up time, which I didn't see. We were having breakfast at the time they came to pick me up and we were ready to go from there. But they only called us to say "you lost your transportation". When I questioned it, the lady was very not understanding and told me the driver couldn't wait one minute for me to get from the restaurant to the reception. She sent me a whatsapp after the call to show that I had received a separate email with the pick up time. Ok. it was my mistake, but if she could call to tell me I'd lost it and send me a whatsapp to prove me wrong, I thought they could have called/whatsapp before the driver was gone. It would literally take me 1 minute from the restaurant to the reception. - We then got a taxi to rush to the marina and checked in on time. There was a line of people and we went in when a lady said that line was for a different boat and the next line would be for our boat and that they would call the name of the boat out loud. There was no next line, no one calling the name of our boats as we had been instructed. About 10 minutes later when we questioned a guy he was like "ohh, I found two more people for that boat" as if we were late. Which means that if we had waited another 2 minutes, we could have lost the boat. Therefore, the beginning was so disorganized and chaotic that we were afraid thorough the day that the boat would forget us somewhere and didn't venture going out to get to know the island. Overall, it was more disappointing than beautiful for the price that we paid.

Grace was a great tour guide and we had a wonderful time! Unlike a lot of the other reviews for this tour I have seen, we did indeed feel like VIP’s. It was so much better only having 20 people on the boat as opposed to 50 with unlimited drinks! The only thing that was annoying is the professional photographer on board almost forcibly making you spend $80 usd for his photos. Either way, we had a wonderful time and Isla Mujeres was beautiful.

There was nothing really "privileged " about this tour except we got to sit in the VIP section at the marina. We joined a large group of other passengers who were not "privileged". So I basically could have saved myself $100/pp. The staff was friendly. Grace, was a great host...and the only reason why I gave the 3 stars. The snorkling was also a joke and the biggest shitshow I've ever seen. Several boats with large group of people all snorkling in the same area....it was such chaos. It was like being a goldfish with 1000 others in a small petstore feeder tank. I got kicked several times in the face. The fish were less than mediocre. The underwater museum was lame. The private beach was okay. There was a ton of seaweed and aggressive crabs at the beach...so don't waste your time, spend it at the pool. The buffet was...MEH. Very boring and disappointing. Too much time was wasted doing other activities vs spending more time on Isla Mujeres. Definitely not doing this tour again.

This was not diving on any level. They tie safety vest around your waist so you basically float on top and look down. At the next stop in shallow waters, they make you hold on to a rope like a child. The whole time the host is yelling at you like a drill seargent. There was nothing about this relaxing or luxury. I live here and been on many excursiones. Make sure you know exactly what the experience will be like. We left the group at the island and came home via shuttle for $10USD.
