You will be collected from your Darwin accommodation at approximately 7.00am for the short journey to Litchfield National Park. Explore the waterfalls, spring-fed streams and rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield National Park. Discover the intriguing cathedral and magnetic termite mounds before we head to Buley Rockhole for an invigorating swim. A short journey later we arrive at Florence Falls where you will enjoy a hike and another welcome swim followed by a picnic lunch.

Early afternoon we leave the highway behind and hit the dirt travelling along a typical outback track taking us deep into Kakadu National Park. A very interesting trip. A good level of fitness was necessary - especially for the Jim Jim Falls, beautiful and majestic. The Yellow Water cruise was spectacular. Our boat guide/skipper was very good. However, our trip guide/driver did not have a microphone on the truck. She said, it had broke on her. There was no spare one on the track. As a result, the communication between the guide and the group, during the long drives, was bad. Notwithstanding the above, the guide was nice, well organised and knowledgeable.

Positives of the tour were 1. The places we visited and sights we saw - the views, waterfalls, sunsets, swimming holes and artwork were incredible, in some cases breathtaking. 2. The people on the tour - a great mix of ages and nationalities, all of whom added to the experience in their own way and helped to make it a special few days. The negatives were 1. The driving - 9 hours on one day alone. The guide - in my experience a guide can make or break a tour like this. Sadly ours was of the breaking variety.

We had a brilliant time on this tour. Our guide Rowdy was fantastic - knowledgeable, communicative and saved our lives when we were unexpectedly ambushed by a wild ox !! The tour was great fun, with lots of stops and time out of the vehicle. I particularly enjoyed walking up high ground to look at amazing views, and the yellow river boat tour on which we saw big salty crocs. The accommodation we had was an authentic experience....loved Mount Bundy. Learned so much about indigenous culture, and saw so many animals and birds. Thanks for an unforgettable time Rowdy.

The tour was a great way to get a bite of two massive reserves in 3 days. Our 4WD bus held 15 passengers and was driven and guided by Jorga who was knowledgable and energetic. The days were well mapped out with a lot of driving to get to the locations. We especially enjoyed the two hour cruise where we spotted 14 crocs. and our frigid swim and rock climb at Jim Jim falls. We felt like we hit some great highlights and would not been able to do them as efficiently without our planners. The tent camps were clean and nice, the food was hot and cooked for us by Jorga and the company was nice. Great adventure!

I enjoyed the boat ride best, seeing the wild life, and also the ancient Aboriginal art. The camp sites let the trip down - the first one was ok but poorly lit at night. The toilets and shower hut at the second site were quite primitive. The toilets were like the ones from about a hundred years ago, with spiders etc. and some of us had to share our shower cubicle with cane toads!
