Covering nearly 20,000 square miles (32,180 square km) of rivers, wetlands and ancient sandstone mesas, the Northern Territory’s Kakadu National Park is the largest park in Australia. Your full-day wilderness adventure begins with early morning pickup at your Darwin hotel and an approximately 2-hour drive to the park.

When you arrive, visit the remarkable collection of ancient Aboriginal rock art in the desert at Nourlangie Rock. Take a journey thousands of years back in time as you see stories of daily life depicted through well-preserved cave paintings. Break for a picnic lunch surrounded by the park’s dramatic scenery.

In the afternoon, glide along the Yellow Water billabong on a river cruise. Learn about the natural history of the wetlands from your guide as you look for wild birdlife and crocodiles poking above the water’s calm surface.

Finally, delve deeper into the area’s indigenous history with a visit to the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. At the end of your adventure, relax and soak up the scenery on the return drive to Darwin, where your tour concludes with hotel drop-off in the evening.

Poor planning by tour co led to us starting tour 1 hour late. We were constantly reminded we were running late so missed key sites. Very disappointing.
Fantastic Kakadu!

Loved this tour! Phil was a fantastic driver and informative guide. And Dennis was an exceptional and humorous guide. We gained so much insight into Country on his Yellow Water boat tour.
Kakadu - an experience of a lifetime that needs more than a day coach tour
, Apr. 2022
Yellow waters was spectacular - so good to hear Indigenous views and to be part of something so well run by Indigenous people.

Hi Susan, thank you for your review. The Kakadu National Park has a lot to offer. This tour is perfect for everyone who has limited time or who just wants a little taster of the region. Hopefully we can welcome you again on one of our extended touring around the Darwin region or even other areas in Australia & New Zealand. Kind regards, Jess from AAT Kings
Best trip for awhile
, Apr. 2022
The bus trip out to Kakadu was very relaxed and comfortable. Our bus driver Irish Mark kept us entertained and was very informative on the lay of the land out to our destination. We had a couple of pit stops and plenty of opportunities to buy local art and souvenirs, especially at the cultural centre at Warradjan. Next we were on our cruise. What an experience, something I won’t forget for awhile. Dennis with two N’s was the best guide you could get for the yellow river cruise on Kakadu. His local knowledge and personal experiences, witty remarks made for a very enjoyable, thought proving adventure of this picturesque land of ours. After our cruise was a lovely lunch. Our last stop was the beautiful rock art Nouralinga what an amazing place. The journey home was a quiet reflection on the days wonderful experience of Kakadu and it’s people.

Although a long trip after reaching Norlangie Rock and looking at the aboriginal artwork it was worthwhile. After driving along to have lunch which was quite enjoyable we went for river boat cruise on Yellow river and we saw a lot of interesting birdlife and some crocodiles as well.

The yellow boat cruise was excellent but sadly the lunch let the whole experience down poor quality.

Winter Wonderland in the Top End
, Jun. 2021
Excellent from start to end of day. Coach drivers very informative. Our Guide Dennis (with 2 n’s) on the Yellow Waters Cruise, gave the most inspiring insight into crocodiles in their habitat. The pride he displays in his heritage was the best I have ever heard. Although a very long day - pick up 6.15am drop off home 8.00pm, the drivers/guides continually kept us entertained with information all the way. Thank you
