The driver Edwardo was perfect. The problem is that he was not told where I was going and had no idea he would be going about 1 hour out of his way. I specifically told this company that I was going to Zipolite and was charged about 800 pesos, about the going rate. I emailed about 4 days before arrival to make sure all was OK. The response came in 2 days asking for the exact hotel name. That was immediately given. No response after that. The driver was never given the hotel name. I had to pay an extra 500 pesos to the driver so that I would not be stranded at the airport. Not a good welcome. They seem disorganized and I would not recommend them for anything other than a standard trip that is on their website.

Although it isn’t the review I strive for, it has taught me a very valuable lesson.
I didn’t see an email from you, which caused some miscommunications between you and I.
As you know, Zipolite isn’t near Huatulco. Zipolite is an hour and 15 minute drive at least depending on traffic. We were under the impression that the transfer from the Huatulco airport to the hotel was within the hotel district.
Due to this miscommunication, we wanted to accommodate your request and asked for an equatable fare of an additional 500 Pesos, which was less than the standard fare that any taxi would charge, which is clearly stated on the board outside the airport. You got a very good price for our service.
I appreciate your review today because it made me aware that I need to reword my service area to clarify the distance and charge accordingly to areas not within the hotel district of Huatulco.
Please accept my apology, and as always we strive to make our tourists happy and have the best experience possible.

We used Amazing Huatulco, Oaxaca for our airport transportation, Tomas Vicente Contreras was our driver. Tomas was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the Huatulco area. He had many great recommendations and was flexible for our needs. Our first choice for a tour would be with Tomas!
