Incredible experience, bike + tour + sunset

Wow, what an incredible experience. I've previously done a Maui downhill bike, but this was 10x more intimate and fun. The Maui bike was a "ride however you want, and we'll meet back at the shop". This was a full blown tour with our two awesome guides (Neno & Ernesto). They took us up the mountain in their van, and relayed out so much interesting history, tidbits, lore, trivia, jokes, etc. We stopped at very local lookouts not usually known by the traveling public. Both my partner and I wholeheartedly agreed after the trip that this tour was awesome because we could tell a lot of heart had been put into it. Truly, you feel like a part of the Ohana (our group was also great that we went with, which helps!) Oh, and besides just driving and telling jokes and stories, the guides are also frantically taking a whole bunch of awesome photos and then even editing them for you on the spot so they come out as photogenic as possible. The trip wraps up with a bike down to the beach to catch the incredible sunset and drinks. 100% recommend this tour. This is one of the best activities we have done, anywhere, anytime. The downhill biking was spectacular, but the entire trip was well organized and well planned, and the guides were not only safety conscious, but also entertaining, creative and tech-savvy photographers, with great island dining and hiking recommendations.

More than just a downhill bike ride!

This is more than just a downhill bike ride. Neno and Liana, our fun and awesome tour guides, shared stories and history about the surrounding towns, islands, Kaua’i, Hawai’i, the plants, the parks, etc.. We learned a lot on our ride up and down the mountain and we stopped many times to take pictures at various lookout points that were not publicly labeled. Liana took pictures of each couple in the group at each stop doing normal poses and funny poses. It was so nice to have someone take pics and not have to ask someone or take selfies. At the end of the bike ride, we saw the sunset on the beach and it was so pretty and not crowded. This is an awesome way to see 3 state parks, Waimea Canyon, and learn more about the island. Highly recommend.

The BEST experience on the island

We had a great time due to the amazing canyon, views and ride. The equipment was top-level which made the beautiful ride down the valley that much more enjoyable. But the true stars were our guides--Ernesto, Nino and Donovan--who made everything so easy, fun and knowledgeable. Truly 5 star guides.

This was a great experience, and Ernesto and Kiana were great guides. However, if you are a bike enthusiast and looking for a primarily biking activity, this is not it. Of the 4 hour trip, probably about 45 min was actually biking (all downhill, basically riding the breaks). Again, super fun and got great pictures, and a great way to see the canyon, but just know this is not so much of a bike trip as it is a sightseeing trip. Still very happy we did it, we just need some more exercise 😂.

Seeing the canyon from different views was an eye opener. We saw clear views, foggy views to no view at all. The ride down was great. Ernesto made sure everyone was safe. He took the time to explain things and took pictures for our enjoyment.

Guides were great and went to great lengths to create an inclusive, fun and safe experience. We stopped 3 times on the way up to see views of the canyon, ending with an overlook of Na Pali from above the clouds. The trip culminated with the bike ride from the top to bottom which lasted about 45 thrilling minutes. We got to the beach just in time to watch the sun set next to Niihau. Would definitely recommend. Equipment was in great shape.

We highly recommend this tour! My husband, 23-year-old son, and I loved it. Ernesto and Kiana were wonderful tour guides. Ernesto had everything timed perfectly so we would reach the beach in time to see the beautiful sunset. He was so personable and really thought of little touches that made it so enjoyable! It was part-driving, part-biking and we didn't find it strenuous at all. Ernesto was also very focused on safety. It was a highlight of our trip to Kauai in early December 2021.
