We had multiple sightings (10 or so) and the naturist on board was very knowledgeable. He also deployed. a hydrophone, which enabled us to hear the whales singing.

We went on Saturday 4/2 with Jay and Dirk. We were greeted within minutes by tons of dolphins! (See photo) We got to see a mom and baby, and later a group of at least 5 or 6 whales. I only Have videos of the whales so couldn’t upload. It was amazing!! The commentary and education provided by the crew was also great. We highly recommend and would love to do this again next time we’re in Maui!

So exciting to see the whale pods and the mother & baby whale. Even though it was closer to the end of the season we were still able to see quite a few whales and even some dolphins.

Maui Divers whalewatch

We had to do a whalewatch while in Lahaina. It was a great experience. The boat was very quick and small enough to maneuver close to the whales. We went almost all the way to Lanai to see them. The captain and naturalist knew their stuff. We saw so many pods of humpback whales and a baby. We even saw some spinner dolphins! I would highly recommend anyone to go on a whale watching expedition with Maui Divers!

Perfect Whale Watch in 2 Hours

, Mar. 2022
We had a great time whale watching with Dive Maui. We had our 8 and 5 year old in tow and 2 hours was the perfect amount of time. The boat is small so you can get close to the whales and everyone on board has a great view. Our captain and naturalist were so knowledgeable. We saw a whale calf splashing about and practicing tail slapping, two bachelor whales fighting it out for a lady and a surprise full whale breach on our way back. Would definitely go out with Dive Maui again!

This was so fun! I love that there is not a ton of people, so it was too crowded. Those working were extremely knowledgeable and clearly cared deeply for the whales. Loved getting to be so close to them!

Educational whale watch

A wonderful time on the ocean seeing whales, being on the ocean, and learning about whales. We had an amazing naturalist on the boat who answered all of our questions and provided a ton of useful facts. This was a fantastic adventure for the family. February is the best time when there are the most whales - but we were able to see 3 mom-baby pairs with escorts fairly close and more from a distance.

Very sad

First the time of our whale watching trip was changed from morning to afternoon because they didn't have a 2nd boat as planned. When we got there for our trip, we were told the boat's fuel pump was broken and the trip was canceled. We could not reschedule for 2 days later because we were leaving. We hope to get a refund as indicated.

We had a fantastic time on our sunset whale trip. Loved being on a smaller boat so that it wasn't so crowded. Our girls (7 & 5) loved it. The staff and crew were all very pleasant and informative. Would definitely book with them again.

Jay and Chelsea were great guides. The boat was fast and we got very close to the whales without breaking any rules or scaring them in their habitat. Recommend going in the afternoon when it’s windy if you want to see breaches and earlier in the day for some closer up whale encounters and pods.
