Maui Shore Excursion : Road to Hana Tour from Lahaina

Driver Justin totally safe on road in spite of heavy rain and a bridge wash out. He was very entertaining and informative. And I didn’t have to drive that crazy road myself! Best part.

Outstanding trip, local lore and stories, best stops, origins of language, involved the group the whole trip. Many stops with local contacts that other tours can’t get. Little pricey but worth it

This would be a '5' star rating if it was based on our driver alone. Justin was an exceptional guide, professional, knowledgeable and entertaining. You lose points with the food provided and the horrible, cramped van. Seats were stiff and space in-between was stifling. We originally started with a contingent of ten people. WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE! ( You should really advise people regarding any personal items they bring along...i.e. - backpacks, coolers, grocery bags, etc.) Unfortunately for them, one couple fell victim to road sickness and opted to leave the tour. That made it better but not by much. All that said.. the scenery was awesome. It was A very nice trip, my issues aside, and again ...Justin was terrific.

The most memorable parts of the trip to us were the black sand beach with its amazing views and the waterfall in which people jumped off it into the water. There was also that little “rollercoaster” we experienced on the hills which was super fun and really, the tour guide’s sunny personality and everlasting humor was the most enjoyable part of the tour experience and we’ll cherish this experience for the rest of our lives.

It was our first trip to Maui and the road to Hana was our most memorable part of our vacation. Malia is a phenomenal tour guide. Highly recommend her. She stopped by all the fun spots and shared so many wonderful stories about her culture and the place. We are leaving Hawaii with lots of good memories from this trip.

You need to experience all sides of Maui, and you can do it with this road trip. We got to see waterfalls, Black Sand Beach, black bamboo, wild goats, excellent ocean views, and picnic at a state park. Our driver/guide, Jay, was exceptionally kind, always asking if we needed anything, stopping to point out the tiniest of details, and giving us plenty of time to take picture.

Malia was our tour guide, and she made the tour so memorable she talked all about her Island , and she is so proud of her Island! She told us the history of the island the stories and all the traditions and that go along with the island without her this trip would have just been another drive to Hana.

Lisa was an amazing guide, driver and very nice person! We had a wonderful day, stopped numerous times and saw breathtaking sites. We highly recommend!

Our tour guide Kaipo, was very knowledgeable of Hawaiin history, which made our trip so interesting! The trip was the only way to experience much of the island in a safe and informative way.

Kahili is extremely knowledgeable about everything on the tour. He's very personable and has a great sense of humor! We even asked for some restaurant recommendations, and he gave us some amazing options.
