great time

lovely views, lovely guide, lovely accommodations. everyone who says there is no room for luggage is correct. also, we did not make it to the sanctuary in time for the koala cuddle. this was a big disappointment to me because it was a "must-do" on my list and I had no other way to do it.

Our guide Cameron did not tell us about the compulsory wearing of seatbelts you have to pay high fines for not wearing a seat belt, he did not even wear one himself, he drove too fast on most roads and we all can be glad that the police didn't stop the bus. He moaned at us because one time we were there some seconds too late and others who were more times some minutes late were not moaned at. Another aspect is that one time our guide said to a person who travelled alone to change her place that a couple can sit together, but he didn't do the same for us. Furthermore, he didn't look in his rear view mirror and started driving even if someone was still standing and he can be happy that nothing happened as the person wasn't prepared that the bus would start driving. Moreover, Cameron recommended to wait in the visitor center of the Pinguin parade until it has started, because he said that some people in the front row would go after seeing some Pinguins which didn't happened and we were glad not to have listened to him. The only reason why one star is appropriate is because of the Resort we stayed overnight and the beautiful landscapes we saw as well as the Penguin Parade.

It was an amazing tour that we got a very brilliant and knowledgeable Guide - Alan. The group has only 7 persons and the weather was unexpectedly very good with temperature around 14-22 degree Celcius. We have many stops at scenic outlooks to explore the whole area. During our stay at Queenscliff on 31 Jan, we have come across the spectacular Blue Moon/Eclipse/Red Moon from the relaxing and fantastic BIG4 Beacon Resort. I would highly recommend this tour or similar multi-days trip to my friends.

This was an excellent trip. Small group of people with our driver/guide Cameron. Early start, but a lot to fit in. Lots of stops for photo opportunities during the two days. Enough time to appreciate the glorious views of the natural beauty of the area though. Cameron was a knowledgeable and approachable guide who knew the local area well and was thus able to share lots of personal appreciation of the area. Overnight stay was very comfortable, we chose private bathroom option. 2nd Day was jam packed again, with great experiences. Changed driver/guide for the Philip Island Penguin part of our trip. These little penguins were so cute! All together a great 2 day trip and although very busy was well planned and executed by the tour company. Thoroughly recommended, and a truly memorable experience.

overall the trip are quite good but the mini bus are very crampy Small Total of us 16 pax with hand luggage. There's no place to store our luggage until the day when we're returning to melbourne in a different bus only they provide us with a trailer. Our tour guide cum driver Alan are very nice compare to the other guide steve, The hotel we stayed BIG4 Beacon Resort at Queenscliff are good but the dinner.... the sausage overcooked same goes to the burger i think also overcooked. Well anyway it already over..... one thing for sure i don't think i'll go back to that travel agent again.

There were a lot of stops packed into this tour, great value for money. The shared accommodation was a lot nicer than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Beautiful scenery along the whole drive. Our guide Jeremy was extremely knowledgable about all of the places we went and had a good sense of humor. The only disappointing thing about the trip was that it was pouring rain on Phillip Island for the Penguin Parade, which obviously was no fault of the tour operator, but overall it was an incredible experience!

The tour stated that we would be picked up from our hotel but after booking we found out that they would only pick us up at the Regents Theatre instead of at our hotel. The name of the tour company is Bunyip Tours. Our tour guide, Kyle was excellent. He was fun and took the time to get to know each of his 24 passengers. He provided his own free wifi and offered to take photos for us. I would not recommend this tour during this time of the year fall. The first day tour started at approximately 7:30 am and we arrived at our hotel accommodations around 6:30 pm. It was a long and scenic drive along the Great Ocean Road but nothing exceptional except to see the rock formations of the 12 Apostles and a scenic gorge to have lunch on your own on the beach. The resort accommodation was very disappointing. Shared accommodations meant 6 bunk beds in one room with 12 ladies sharing one bathroom with the only one tiny mirror. They must not have had a lot of ladies staying here, otherwise you'd think they would at least install another mirror in the living room or bedroom for their use! There were several electrical outlets available in the living room but absolutely none in the bedrooms. Surprisingly they did offer free wifi and it did worked ok. On the second day, we took a car ferry over to the eastern side of Melbourne and visited a rain forest before meeting another tour guide who drove us to Phillips Island to see the penguins parade. We were expecting to see hundreds of penguins making their way on to the shore at nighttime. Instead, during the two hours sitting out in the cold/wind and waiting for it to get dark and for them to show up, we only saw two groups of about 10 penguins each. They waddled up on to the shore and made their way into the grassy area where their burrows were located. The tour only provided tickets for the general admission area. I understand that if you had a penguin plus ticket you could view the penguins in a preferred area where you might have seen more coming on shore. There was a boardwalk there with limited access for others and there we saw several more penguins. These did not necessarily come out of the water that evening. They might have already been on land all day. We were told that the best times to see the penguins coming ashore is during the springtime when they do have to come back ashore to feed their babies. During February through April, they stay ashore for approximately 17 days to moult to replace old and worn feathers so that they can maintain a waterproof plumage. For the price we paid for this two days combo tour, I would recommend the one day tour instead to Phillips Island coupled with some more sightseeing to fill up your day.

This is a nice trip. Ideally, you really need good weather for it as everything is so open to the elements. Unfortunately we didn't have that but the penguin parade at Philip Island made it all worth it. Such an incredible sight to witness. The over night accomodation was lovely too

This tour was a lot of fun, but included a lot of travel which made it tiring! There were so many sights, so here are some highlights: We did the Great Ocean road in reverse, starting with the Twelve Apostles and then Loch Ard Gorge. We walked through Mait's Rest, a rainforest with gorgeous scenery. The shared accommodation was comfortable and clean. Our guide Steve was helpful, informative, and amicable. The second day was when we visited Moonlit Sanctuary, which is small but really well-run. I learned a lot about the animals from zookeepers, hugged and petted a koala 15 extra, and handfed wallabies 2 extra! The finale, the penguin parade, was also nice. I think this tour was a great value for the money as it combines aspects of multiple other tours. Recommended!

An amazing way to spend two days and experience so much- beaches, rain forests, towns, animals, etc. Accomodations were nice. Our guide , Steve was very knowledgeable, polite, and personable. Loved this was small group- would not have liked this to be a big bus. Liked that we stopped often.

This is a must do tour while in Melbourne, The first day on the Great Ocean Road is as spectacular as you will get, day 2 drags a little bit but well worth the wait for when the penguin parade starts, Alex the guide was funny, informative, helpful, patient and very good at what he does. Highly recommend this trip

I highly recommend this tour if you want to visit both Great Ocean Road and Phillip Island. The itinerary was very well planned and we had a wonderful time with our tour guide and driver, Kyle. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. We visited many places and learned a lot from Kyle. The accommodation could be better, I think... Other than that, it was all great!

Done the 2 day tour and would consider it to be very good value for money .Small group makes it so easy getting on off bus. Guides are very informed and friendly. Amazing scenery good stops to take it all in .Lovely overnight accommodation at Queenscliff. The Penguin parade was a wonderful sight overall an unforgettable 2 days. The food included was good. Its quite a lot of traveling but well worth it.

Great tour. Packed so much into 2 days that it felt a lot longer. The guide Jeremy was brilliant, friend to everyone, inclusive, informative and very entertaining. Visited some beautiful places, fed wallabies and kangaroos and watched the magical return of the penguins to Phillip Island. Excellent value for money and I thoroughly recommend.

Very well planned tour, knowledgeable guide and beautiful place. Even though part of the Great Ocean Rd was closed because of the landslide, we travelled through the inland most of the time, it was so beautiful. Itinerary was very well planned, so that we could cover all the attractions on time and with ample time to walk around. Accommodation at Queens cliff was excellent and par above our expectations. Guide from Bunyip Tours was very knowledgeable and he kept us engaged with valuable information throughout the two days. Very well recommended tour.

One of the best tours to take, The Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island was pretty good but the Great Ocean Drive and specially the Twelve Apostles is worth the entire trip. The guide was friendly and kept us on time at all times The anticipated Penguins at the end of the tour was a big let down. They make you believe that you will see a lot of them and they were probably 50 or 60 that night. But I still give it a 5 star rating.
