Fabulous Bisquit Duo Now

My husband and I took this class a couple weeks ago. Our class was full but we felt we had plenty of room & all the supplies we needed. Maryann gave us great instructions and tips, and made it a fun, hands on experience. Our class lasted about2.5 hours & our bisquits turned out delicious. We will never eat canned bisquits again. This class will be our souvenir from Nashville forever. Thanks Maryann.

Biscuit making fun!
Kathleen_R

Great fun with friends. Met some super people. Learned how to make biscuits. The recipe was not anything special, but it was easy, and the instructor made it a lot of fun. I highly recommend. She also sold biscuit making supplies like cutters, pastry cloth, cookbook, biscuit flour, etc at very reasonable prices.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
It is fun...and recipe is what you make it. It is basic..and what is maddening about the biscuit... is for being so seemingly easy... it is hard to make them turn out. But, in class, I try my best to teach you the tips, tricks, and little things that add up to make them turn out great. Thanks for coming to class and your kind words.

My son and daughter and I really enjoyed this experience here in Nashville. Maryann provides a relaxing atmosphere and very informative hands on biscuit baking class that leaves you confident in knowing how to bake the most delicious biscuits ever(and homemade gravy)!! She not only teaches you how to bake them. She tells you the history of the biscuit and provides many helpful tips and hints about baking. She was very knowledgeable and hospitable. We left feeling like we were family! I highly recommend that if you are visiting the Nashville area, sign up for this class!!❤️❤️❤️

Esther, I felt like you were family too. I never realized I'd bond with people over biscuits ..but it happens. Your son looks like he's going to be a top notch biscuit maker. His bath was outstanding. He's got the gift. :). Thank you for your kind words.

This was the most fun. Learning to make biscuits with my hubby was the perfect date. I was shocked to learn how easy this could be. I’m going to throw away those can biscuits and make my own.
icon Response from Host , Jan. 2022
Nina, You throw those canned biscuits away! haha. When you can whip up a fresh homemade batch with good ingredients .. why canned? Right? I love my couples who come to class on a date. So romantic, and you get a life skill out of the deal. Love & biscuits go hand in hand.

It was a great class. I met wonderful people who also seemed to enjoy the class. It was clear that the instructor loved teaching the class and imparting her wisdom on biscuit making.
icon Response from Host , Jan. 2022
Valarie, I'm glad you enjoyed class and meeting the other students. I always say, the most kind and interesting people take my class. I think part of the joy we all have is the conversation that evolves as we bake. Thank you for coming to my class.

Victor_M

Fun class, very thorough and informative. Would have given 5 stars except for the overbooking of the class. At the time we booked, it said on the site there would be a max of 8 in the class. There were about 17. Questioned the owner when we were looking for a seat together, husband and I. She didn't address the fact that the site said a max of 8, she was busted basically. All she said was "do you want a refund?" So, that goes to owner character which left a little bit of a "bad taste" in our mouths. Other than that, we really enjoyed the class.
icon Response from Host , Jan. 2022
Hi Victor, My class holds up to 19 people and most class are 16-18. I have that set student count for two reasons. One, I have to run a profitable business to stay in business..and if I had only 8 students I'd have to increase my prices to $125 per person,..and I want my class to accessible to all income levels. Secondly.. the more the merrier when it comes to biscuit baking. I find my students love meeting each other, as most of them are foodies and travelers and enjoy talking with each other. I do recall you coming into class as the last couple and there were not two seats together and your husband seemed very angry. I thought it best to offer him his money back to avoid a scene I didn't mean to be rude and I apologize if it came off that way. But, I'm glad we did get you both seated by each other and I felt we turned things around quick and had a great time. Just to add to anyone reading to this point; ' .people book my class on Viator and my website.., so I have to divide my seats between those two booking sites. If you're curious about what the class looks like during baking.. there are photos the website.

Maryann was a wonderful teacher and the class was so enjoyable. The biscuits she made us were delicious and the ones we got to make and take home were great! Thanks again!
icon Response from Host , Jan. 2022
Marilyn, You say the nicest things. I'm so happy you enjoyed yourself and you liked the biscuits I baked for you. I always tell every class, that a biscuit is a personal thing and what I teach is how you can make it the way you like them. So, when my students really like my biscuits? I love that but don't always expect the praise. Thank you.
