Overview

Get adventurous during a trip to Honolulu with a morning snorkeling excursion to see green sea turtles. Go under water at Turtle Canyon and swim with a variety of tropical fish, octopus, and turtles. After snorkeling, set sail around Diamond Head to look for Hawaiian spinner dolphins (and humpback whales during the winter months). All snorkel equipment is included.

Check-in Time: 30 minutes before departure. We are located at 226 Lewers Street on the second floor just above Wyland Art Gallery. Please be punctual. Guests will be escorted from the check-in location to the boat 15 minutes before activity time.

I enjoyed this trip, however I hadn’t swam for years. My mindset is young but my body said different. I did get In the water and saw fish immediately when looking down into water. There were also turtles in the area which I viewed, from on the boat, swimming towards the snorkeling area. I didn’t feel comfortable swimming over to where they were. So, I got back on the boat and enjoyed the views. The crew was very helpful. Thank you.

The Capt and crew were so chill and cool it was a great vibe aboard the boat. The water was perfect and all the turtles were out to see. The cocktails onboard after the swim and for the cruise was spot on! Thanks guys, we’ll definitely put the word out there for you guys and Mahalo!

Had the most amazing time on this tour. We took the 9am. Swim with honu checked off the bucket list. Even though there are other tour boats at the site you get to snorkel there is was plenty of room to move about. Lots of different fish and we saw I believe 6 turtles. Beautiful views of waikiki. Will definitely be booking this tour again when we are back on the island. I highly recommend Holokai. The crew is amazing. They were very informative, gave great instructions, looked out for everyones safety. Made sure all passengers felt comfortable. They have a few comedians among them. They provide snacks and there is a cash bar. We cruised on St. Patty's Day so they made our drinks green to celebrate. Thank you Holokai for the amazing time, adding to mine and my husbands 20th anniversary honeymoon.

Great 9:00a.m. turtle trip. Very friendly and helpful staff on and off the boat. The boat was not crowded, and we saw several that were. Comfortable and well organized from beginning to end. Knowledgeable guide in the water with us to answer all questions.

We saw a whale out in the distance and the sail was beautiful. I was scared to snorkel at first and almost didn’t go in, but I challenged myself and am glad I did! We saw lots of large sea turtles and colorful fish and the water wasn’t as cold as I thought.

Great experience snorkeling with tropical fish and turtles

I have been snorkeling twice before but this was by far the best experience. We saw many colorful fish at arms length and there were lots of turtles too. The crew was entertaining and did a good job caring for the novices. Several people on the boat did feel a little seasick however when the boat headed into deeper water after the snorkeling, so if someone is prone to that, I would recommend taking medicine while still onshore

The staff was extremely friendly. I signed up a day before the trip and they called me to make sure they had all they needed and made sure I knew/signed the waiver. They were professional and very clearly knew what they were doing while still joking around and being approachable. They also take safety seriously, making sure everyone in the water stayed together and even offered to stay near the not so confident swimmers. It was clear so we got to see turtles and schools of tropical fish! I would recommend this experience whole heartedly.

The weather was lousy for our tour, but we enjoyed it anyway. The ocean was very choppy, so highly recommend motion sickness medicine. We saw one sea turtle and lots of beautiful fish. The staff was awesome!

the crew was awesome! I was pretty scared the first 20 minutes but they helped me get comfortable and really enjoy the experience! I felt so safe and had a blast! They even helped me untangle the googles from my hair a few times! Loved it!

The service itself was great, everyone was super nice and informative but the snorkeling location was not good. It was over crowded making the water visibility difficult- I don’t think the location would have been that spectacular regardless- it’s about 5 min off shore. The price was not worth the trip.

We are glad that you found our staff pleasant and informative, but we're sorry that the visibility on the day you came out was affected. This can be for a number of reasons, weather and tides being the two most important factors. While it may seem close, Turtle Canyon is still far off from shore, enough that even some surfers cannot paddle out there without a break or two and we do not recommend guests attempt to swim there on their own. We hope you enjoyed visiting with the honu of Oahu and the amazing sail after your snorkel time. Everything was perfect! The staff were all so very sweet and helpful. The views of Waikiki and Diamond Head were spectacular. Our party of 5 enjoyed every minute of our tour. We saw a ton of fish, some turtles and a whale spout. We really enjoyed the music they played which added to the experience. Highly recommend and I would love to do this tour again in the future.
