Not for everyone- you will do a lot of incline walking but the views are worth the effort 😍 Pace yourself, take regular breaks and stay hydrated. If you’re a serious runner, athletic or have youth on your side - this will be a breeze. If you are not, be careful, it a challenge that can leave you regretting your decision. I for one was some wear in between fit and youthful - and I felt winded at times but made it up the “stairs” and the reward was worth the effort!

What a smooth excursion! Our Driver Diego was great. Filled us in on the details of what to expect when we get to the crater. The hike wasn’t too bad. Got to the top and it was well worth it. I would definitely recommend this excursion.

The hike and views were amazing. But even though I walk 3-5 miles every day, at 70 the hike was a bit challenging. I didn't finish in the time alotted and the shuttle left without us.

Hi Diane, So we spoke with the driver and he related that 3 of the 6 were actually present at the return time. They were offered to be taken back but waited back for the rest of the party. The driver waited an additional 25-30 minutes as he called the office to inform he had others in the shuttle that needed to be taken back. On our website it is stated the amount of time that will be given and return times of the shuttle. The hike is stated that it takes 60-120 mins to complete, we give the full 120 mins as some finish before that time but they must wait for all. At the end of the day the service was completed because you folks were taken there and had your tickets reserved and paid for by us to enter, also there was a shuttle that waited an additional 30 minutes for you folks. The driver even asked the 3 from your party to call the rest of the group to get an update but there was no answer, he attempted calling many times as well. We have time restraints to hit each day, I’m sorry that we couldn’t wait any longer but it wasn’t fair to the rest of the parties waiting in the shuttle. Those other parties have other activities to do as well and already waited the additional time for you guys as well, you didn’t book a private shuttle to be available whenever you complete it. When booking the tour it’s stated online time of arrival and time of departure.

This was very nice! Adam was our driver. Meeting location was communicated as soon as I sent out a message to the tour company via email. Quick drive up to diamond head entry and we did the rest. I am not a hiker and out of shape but I was able to do the entire thing in the average amount of time. Liked going at my own pace so I could take tests when there was an option. The views are once in a lifetime. Very worth the climb up.

Very happy with this service. We wanted the freedom of getting around diamond head without the pressures of keeping up with a tour or waiting around for one but taking this shuttle eliminated the stress of needing to drive ourselves there. Diamond head is absolutely beautiful and totally worth it.

The driver was very friendly and on time. I am giving only 4 stars because the tour company jammed packed the van. It would have been a more comfortable ride with one less party. There was barely enough room for everyone.

Aloha Kristen, thanks for your feedback. But we didn’t overbooked the shuttle on that day, we had 14 passengers, and everyone was wearing a seat belt. Maybe you had the impression, but the Diamond Head state park doesn’t allow us to drop more than 14 passengers for each tour. Aloha and we hope to see you again!

The shuttle bus driver we had was very friendly and let us know exactly what to expect on the hike, and provided us water bottles to take with us. The hike itself was definitely moderate - wear good, non slip walking/running shoes - but the view at the very top is worth it! Go early because it gets very crowded past 7:30 am. The shuttle very promptly picked us up again after 2 hours (plenty of time for the whole hike).

Our shuttle picked us up on time and took us to our starting point to Hike Diamond Head; our driver was knowledgeable and gave us great ideas so we could be successful. We had plenty of time for the hike and to relax before pick up. The views along the hike at at the summit were spectacular. Would recommend this tour!
