Awesome Circle Island Tour with North Shore Stops Including Snorkeling.

As first time visitors to O’ahu, we had no experience with tours of the island and wanted a great experience. My husband did some online research before our visit and because of great past reviews, we selected "The Awesome Circle Island Tour." (We booked through Viator). We were not disappointed!! Right from the start, our tour felt personal with a warm welcome and jovial conversation throughout. (It didn't hurt that our tour group only totaled 10 passengers). Our tour bus was clean and comfortable with big windows to allow maximum site lines. Our driver and guide, "Captain Vince," engaged with each member of the group - by name - and was especially inclusive of the kids on board. Vince is gregarious, personable, knowledgeable, and makes you feel at ease - all important characteristics of a great tour guide. By the end, he made us feel like a family! We saw great views from Diamond Head, Halona Blowhole, visits to cool stops like a macadamia nut farm, Waimea beach, Iolani Palace and Dole Plantation. We stopped for lunch at Fumi's Shrimp Shack ($ not included in the cost of the tour), which was excellent. We then stopped at a produce stand for a fried lumpia, something I'm sure I wouldn't have done without Vince's recommendation. I personally appreciated that Vince knew other tour guides and was friendly with all of them but wasn't shy about telling us he wanted to stay ahead of the other tour groups, lest we suffer bottle necking of large crowds (...and restrooms!) We learned a number of Hawaiian words and sayings, adding the all-important local flavor to our tour. By the end of the day, 9.5 hours had flown by, and I was a little sad to leave our makeshift tour group family. My husband and I both felt our time (and money) was well spent on "The Awesome Circle Island Tour." I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to see the sites and become family with strangers... even for just one day.

Dirk was a fantastic tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. He had lots of fun facts that were off script. He had a good mental map of the city knowing where hotels were without the GPS. We enjoyed all the stops on the tour. Epic 1 tours made accommodations for us when they realized we were coming from another part of island and would be late. They were great about directing us to pick new pickup point that was more convenient.

Captain Vince was a great guide! Had a wonderful time with him although we figured out no matter how hard he tried he would never be able to teach me to speak like a Hawaiian 😉.

Truly an Epic Tour! With Captain Vince at the helm, nothing can go wrong in this magical island tour. In less than a day, we were able to circle the island of Oahu dotted with memorable stops at the right places. Captain Vince made us all feel very much at home inside the bus with all information he shares about the places we visited delivered not in an academic way but in a narrative reflective of a truly local storyteller. Captain Vince was all fun and a dedicated aloha ambassador who truly enjoy what he is doing. Only one thing did not meet my expectations in this tour, a short stop somewhere in North Shore to take that coveted pictures of the winter surf, or if lucky, the banzai pipeline. But all was good that started and ended well. Very satisfied!!!

This should be the first thing you do when you get to Honolulu. Captain Vince ran a great tour. We got to see a temple, a waterfall, a beach, the Dole Plantation and other stops along the way, combined with great food and Shaved ice. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide Vince was amazing!! Very friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the Oahu island. My family and I had an amazing time stopping at MUST SEE’S and getting unforgettable photos. We tried lots of food and he made sure that we didn’t miss out on any experience! 10/10 recommend this tour.

Kyoko was a great guide and provided a non rushed experience. We were taken to some of the best views on the island. Would recommend to take tour early on in your stay.

I have never been on a tour so amazing! Captain Vince is funny, down to earth, spiritual and most of all knowledgeable! He answered all of our questions in great detail took us to some of the most beautiful places on the island that I didn’t even know existed.
