This was an awesome way to not only see Oaxaca, but to understand some of its history, culture, and social dynamics. The guide, Jesse, was amazing. We learned a lot about the city, it’s neighborhoods, and great spots to revisit. This is not to be missed.

Jessie was just superb. Her knowledge of the local art scene and culture was amazing and she took such good care of us, explaining every detail of the art, and the reasons why artists painted what they did - little titbits about the geographical area around us, the traditions of the ancient civilization and the artists themselves - it was rich in every way. we even got to meet one of the muralists, while he was painting and a studio os another one where he explained his techniques to us, thank you, Jessie!

I highly recommend this tour in general, and in particular to people (like me!) who have just arrived in Oaxaca: in addition to being amazed by the incredible art we saw, I dropped a ton of Google Maps pins to keep track of all of the places I want to go back & visit! My group’s guide, Jessi, was friendly, charming, and very knowledgeable, and it felt good to support Coyote Aventuras, a very small, very local company that obviously respects and loves Oaxaca.
