Unique Tahiti Tour - private, personalised, small group, east coast tour

My wife and I absolutely enjoyed our tour of Tahiti’s east coast. The tour started punctually from our accommodation where we were picked up by our wonderful guide, Tracey, in a comfortable and air conditioned Mercedes van. Tracey took us to various sites along the east coast, and she gave us a brief history and insight into each stop. She intertwined pieces of her personal story and her experience living in French Polynesia, which added a unique and oftentimes hilarious, heartfelt perspective to this fascinating tour. When you book a tour with her (which I highly encourage) try to do so on a Sunday because you may attend part of a Tahitian church service. We felt very fortunate to have been welcomed into a Tahitian service for a brief glimpse into the deeply spiritual side of Polynesian culture. The singing and music - all in Tahitian - will fill your heart with joy. Thank you, Tracey, for a wonderful and very memorable morning. I’m happy we took the time to stop and indulge in an off-the-beaten-path tour during our brief stay in Tahiti on our way to Bora Bora. We look forward to returning one day and touring the west coast.

Awful! They brought us to a cemetery. Just don’t skip this tours with Viator The places were not what we’re expected to see.

Our tour guide, Dominick, was wonderful & we learned a lot about beautiful Tahiti & the history of the country!!!

There was a listing error cuz our initial reservation was for a East Tour and we found out those were in the afternoon and west is morning but we went anyway. Dominique was a great guide and gave is insights to flora and fauna of tahiti. Took us to a marae and Taharuu black sand beach. Infomative tour. We saw a 190 year old tortoise. Even took us to his restaurant for refreshments and explanation of plants used in drinks. Even dropped us off at papeete and recommended a lunch place. Overall a great easy going experience and recommend as such.

This was such a fun and memorable tour! Tracey was a fantastic guide and really personalized the trip based on what we were looking for. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared a lot of information about the area and the people.

Tracey is an absolute joy and delight. When you want to know something about Tahiti or an obscure fact, she's got an answer and will even tell you a history and story about it. The tour is exactly as described, you are taken off the beaten path to meet and interact with local artisans small neighborhoods and the people who live there. She is greeted with big smiles and huge enthusiasm from adults and kids alike. Who else is gonna take you to feed freshwater eels? Its really fascinating how huge they are. When I described the tour to a Tahitian friend of mine, he said, "Wow, that's way more than I would do, and Im from there!" So if you are looking for a delightful tour companion with a great sense of humor, style and your new photographer bestie, Tracey's your gal. And to my fellow yanks, "She knows her s**t, y'all!" Authentic local culture, history, stunning views, wildlife and sports included on this awesome tour! Tracey and intern Nelly crushed it. They know every single person on this island and we’re so excited to authentic side of Tahiti. This was our first day of our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been any better. Tracey emailed us the morning of our tour and asked if we’re interested in being picked up 2 hours early to go watch England play in the semi-final of the euro cup at a local establishment. It was a ton of fun, England won 2-1 in extra time and god-willing they will go on to win the championship next week!!! That’s when the actual tour began… we saw the biggest waterfall ever, black sand beaches, historic lighthouses and TEN FOOT LONG FRESHWATER EELS THAT WALK ON LAND. Nelly (intern) had these eels eating out of the palm of her hand as if they were puppys!!! Next we went to a village in a beautiful valley where we proceeded to enter several families homes to hang out and see how the locals actually live. I ended up playing a game of bocci ball with the locals…I won. After that we went to a blowhole… my pants were almost blown off because I went too close! This tour was a ton of fun, Tracey and Nelly are excellent guides. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the real Tahiti and it’s beautiful people.

Tracy, our guide was so knowledgeable and was great to spend a day with! We had a great time and learned so much about the island too! We saw so many great sights and we're so glad that we spent more than just a day in Tahiti to/from the airport. It had been on our list to explore the island further, and I'm so happy we did! Our favorites were seeing the lava tube, the lighthouse, and the waterfalls! Great experience and would definitely recommend!! Tricia
