MEETING PLACE/TIME: It is important to be at Vedettes de Paris at least 15 MINUTES before departure time: the check-in stops 5 MINUTES before the departure and on a busy day, there will be a line to retrieve your tickets. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY AND BE ON TIME AS THE BOAT DOES NOT WAIT AND THERE WILL BE NO REFUND IF YOU MISS THE DEPARTURE. - When facing the Eiffel Tower, on your right side you will see a Carroussel -Next to the Carroussel, take the strairs down. - Present yourself at Les Vedettes de Paris ticket office indicated by big flags (Blue / White and Red) - Once at the counter, just give your name and say you're signed up for the Champagne Cruise (if your French is no good, they do speak English or you can also just hand them this voucher (or show it on your phone) ;-)) - In exchange for your voucher, they will give you your ticket to get onboard. - The private room where the Champagne Cruise takes place is at the front of the boat. Your sommelier will be waiting for you there. Have a great time!!

Your Champagne cruise begins as evening settles on the City of Light. Head to the dock by the Eiffel Tower where you'll receive a personal reception aboard the ship.

Make your way to a private room at the front of the boat and meet your sommelier, then pass the time learning about distinguished French wineries and styles through tasting three Champagnes—a Brut, Demi-sec, and Rosé.  

Ask questions of your sommelier and snap photos of Paris’ great riverside landmarks like the Musée d'Orsay, the Louvre, and the Grand Palais as you float down the historic Seine.

Paul was our sommelier and he was absolutely amazing. Knew a lot about all of the champagnes we were drinking and a lot about the area if you had any questions! He was very easy to talk to as well which made it even better! I would highly recommend this tour to anybody who loves champagne or even just loves paris.

Very nice experience. We sat in the front of the boat which was uncovered a bit windy and a little hard to hear the host of the experience, at the same time as the narrator of the trip. The other riders were right behind our group. The Champagne tasting was more than adequate tasting, a full glass of each one of 3 selections. I would have liked to hear more about the samples, and host could pour less and and a little quicker, as we were pulling back up to the dock and barely finished the last glass. All in all, well worth the trip!

Lovely and educational. I think all four of us were impressed with the beautiful views at sunset, as well as the warm and personable lesson on Champagne. The Champagnes themselves were tasty and the pours were generous. Especially fun was showing us the sword technique for opening a bottle. The only critique I have is that instructions on where to go (where on the vedettes de Paris / porte de sufferen we were supposed to go) was too vague and there were no instructions on what to do when we got there. Luckily it worked out, but a moment of panic hit when we weren't sure what to to do and we thought we might miss the boat. Otherwise, excellent experience.

A really special start to a great trip to Paris. The host was charming and very knowledgeable. The champagnes were all interesting and amazing choices. We learned a lot, got to cruise down the Seine with friends, and toast! Would highly recommend.

This is not at all as described- this is not in a private room but rather in a sectioned off part of a tour boat with a few chairs and no tables. You will not be in a private tasting with tour party but with others who also booked the tour. As this is a tour boat, there is a guide who is narrating on a speaker at top volume and the same time that the sommelier is speaking. It is impossible to hear the sommelier and so we really have no idea what the explanations were and as he had to repeat himself, he gave very brief descriptions. Additionally, the boat staff themselves were incredibly rude and unhelpful as it was difficult to find where we were supposed to go- again because we were looking for a private room (which did not exist). All in all, don’t book this it is a total scam.

Dear guest, We are truly sorry you had a bad experience with our Champagne Cruise activity. That being said, we do not feel your remarks are quite fair. The description of the activity clearly states that the private room is at the front of the boat, and yes, this is a boat, so it is a private section, I am not too sure of what else you were expecting. Also, we never mention that this is a private tour for just your party of people. Considering the price of the activity, if only 2 guests were attending, it would be an exceptionally good deal! We do limit the number of people though, so that this activity is still fairly intimate, and provides a good interaction with the sommelier present. As for the content, again, we promote a fun tour « combining sightseeing and wine tasting », so yes, there are explanations about the monument as well as the Champagne tasting. Most people that participate find it to be a good combination judging by the reviews they leave afterwards, but I am afraid you were expecting something else - something we do not have, and don’t pretend to. We do organize more formal tastings at our venue in the centre of Paris, with tables and chairs and no sightseeing. And at last, us O Chateau are a company dedicated to wine tasting, we do not own the boat, as this is clearly a partnership between our company and les Vedettes de Paris. We are not whatsoever responsible for the boat staff, and are very sorry if they were rude to you, but are not liable for it. Again, we are always sorry to hear that people did not enjoy one of our tours because this is always our priority. But we feel like, maybe, you did not read carefully what this tour was about prior to booking, and feel disappointed afterwards, which we can understand. But leaving such a hateful comment does not feel very fair to us.

Very Romantic Trip For Couples

I really enjoyed this trip. My boyfriend and I went and it was very romantic for us. The sommelier was very friendly and knowledgeable on wine and she was able to answer all of my questions. Including the silly one about what is the difference between wine and champagne... Apparently there is a big difference! The champagne was delicious although I wish you was able to buy some on the boat because I couldn't find the 3rd one I loved anywhere in Paris! The sommelier gave us a little history lesson as well which was nice as we cruised down the Seine river. Going at night was lovely as you could see all the lights and sights of Paris which were amazing. Considering this was a should we or shouldn't we go trip, I am glad we did this in the end. Tips? Outside there is a pizza place with a pizza that is to die for. If you can, get a pizza from here because it is delicious! I really enjoyed this trip and I would recommend it.

We have visited Paris many times and we were stopping through on our honeymoon just for 2 days and one night and this was recommended to us by a fellow traveler. I would recommend the Champagne tasting tour whether it's your first time or if you've been to Paris before. It's always a treat to see Paris from the river and our Somm was so knowledgable about the city as well as the Champagne. You also get the very front of the boat with the best view and it's inside so you don't have to worry about the cooler months- although you can walk outside if you would like to take pictures or enjoy the view.

We enjoyed the champagne tasting on the Seine River, our guide was knowledgeable and great. The confusing part was figuring out where to line up and board the boat as there were other passengers who did not have champagne tasting included. Good idea to get there early to avoid confusion. Overall a good experience.

The cruise was lovely - a private, small group in the front of the boat with option to be covered or outdoors. The sommelier/gide was very knowledgeable and can make the explanation of the champagne as simple or as detailed as you needed. She also spoke great English and pointed out features of Paris along the cruise. It was a great kickoff to our stay in Paris as we were able to get our bearing on the city layout and plan our future options. The reason why I am posting this review though is to thank the crew as we would have missed the boat (and the $200 we paid) without their help. We arrived in Paris earlier that day and made the mistake of taking a nap before the tour and arrived to the ticket booth late. We were at the back of the line and not sure really what we even needed to do and we could see the boat was leaving any minute. Someone on the boat staff came to the ticket line and asked for us by name and then took us to the front of the line and escorted us through the process to get the tickets and board the boat. Without her help, we would have never made it and would have missed out on a great start to our trip. We were so appreciative of them taking that extra step to find us and help us even through we were late. They could have left without us and we would have totally understood. Thank you!!

Because river cruises have a tendency to be overcrowded, we were a little hesitant when we booked this one. And with the lines we saw when we arrived, and how over-packed some of the other boats were, those fears increased. But the fears turned out to be unwarranted, specific to this champagne tasting cruise, because this cruise is held in a separate and private part of a larger boat, with only seating for about 2 dozen people. Ultimately, it wound up being a beautiful and peaceful tour of the River Seine while tasting some excellent champagne. Our sommelier, whose name I cannot remember (though I wish I could - it started with a "G") was amazing. He was entertaining and informative. The champagne and the views were fantastic, and it was just an overall enjoyable experience.
