The palace itself is beautiful . It was convenient that they we didn’t have to take the metro or bus to go to the palace .. The trip to the palace was ok , although we were asked to not eat on the bus in a very stern manner . On our way back , the AC wasn’t working till towards the end and all the passengers were getting quite cooked .

Great tour if you want a quicker tour of Versailles. We had time to get through the palace at a quicker pace, not tons of time to stop and read everything of course and we even did a bit of the garden. Tour guide was efficient and I would recommend this for people who don’t want to spend all day at the palace.

Would recommend! You meet at the Paris Trips office (not a hotel pick-up which was fine, the office is very central) & drive over together (there were 7 of us in my trip). Our driver was so nice and gave us a little background on Versailles. Once we arrived, she purchased the tickets for us and we could go directly in, no lines. It was ~2 pm once we arrived (PM tour) and we had until 4:30 to explore the castle and gardens. Our guide didn’t accompany us, but the audio tours provided by the castle were phenomenal. Like others mentioned, this isn’t nearly enough time to cover everything, but perfect if you only have a half day to visit.

The palace is gorgeous. The garden is very walkable and also beautiful! I recommend seeing this, it will not disappoint. Our tour bus driver was late, which cut some of our time, bit overall not a huge deal

Our female driver was fun, funny, friendly, and kind - plus a great driver! The van still had the new vehicle smell. Highly recommend. The audio tour was helpful. The palace itself is huge and looking quite tired and it needs a thorough cleaning inside and out. Having said that, it is still spectacular. The murals, paintings and architecture are outstanding. U can rent golf carts for 38 euro per hour and cruise around the massive grounds. We'll worth the additional cost. Enjoy and have fun!

We lost our train to the bus station. We got to the palace and I texted the guide. She sent me a text telling me that being late was my problem because they clearly tell us what time we need to be there. She texted that the ticket was no longer valid and that I should fund a wat to get back be issue they had already started the tour without us. Very sad, upset and disappointed ! Will never use this service or recommend it again.

We are sorry that you missed your tour due to unfortunate circumstances ("We lost our train to the bus station"). As for us, we waited a little longer, as we always do to give latecomers a chance. However, we couldn't wait for you, any longer to be fair to the other attendees who arrived on time. We left our agency at 1:28 p.m instead of 1:20 p.m as expected. This tour includes a time-stamped ticket and we must arrive on time not to jeopardize access to the Palace. We do understand your feelings for having missed your tour but we are sure you would understand the decision we had to make to deliver the service to the other people in the group. We did a half-day tour and it was perfect for the time of year we went. If it was nice weather outside we would have wanted more time at the Palace to be able to walk through the gardens but since it was January we felt the half day tour was perfect! The skip-the-line lets you enter the Palace in a different entrance then the rest of the visitors allowing for more space and quiet for the first part of the Palace.

Versailles is amazing, but the bus drops you off around 9, then you stand outside for a bit waiting to get in. It was 9.30 before we started going round then we had to be back at the bus by 11.40 meaning we missed out on the grounds. I think there should be 2 options for leaving - 11.40 & 1pm.

Our tour guide was an hour late. After arriving, he tried to apologise to us, but he was unable to help himself from laughing. We then waited in queue for an hour before getting in! Throughout the tour, our tour guide spoke in truncated sentences and often trailed off. He told us if we wanted to learn more, we could go on to his website. It would have been great if we could have received these insights when we were beside the art. Most of the tour left early. The museum is great, this tour is woeful.

Bonjour Rob, Thank you very much for such a detailed feedback regarding what sounds to have been an horrible experience. Please note that I am really sorry for what happened to you that day. However allow me to ask you for some clarification. That day you had booked an Audioguided Tour of Versailles with Skip the Line Access. The tour reserved included: Tranportation by CoachA Skip the Line Access to the Palace and an Audioguide for the inside visit. Instead of that, your reservation was upgraded for a Small Group GUIDED Tour of Versailles with Transportation by Minibus. Your guide that day was a woman and not a man and we neither report a delay or an incident in the running of the Guided Tour that day. You were in a party of 9 people. Looking carefully at your review, you are clearly talking about a man when writing ("he was unable to help himself.." ). You are telling us that the Tour started with an hour late on the schedule time which means that the Tour would have left Paris at 9:20am instead of 8:20am, which is not possible as we had to be at Versailles at 9:15am to enter inside the Palace. Finally, you are talking about a Museum ("The museum is great..") en not about a Castle. To conclude I really wonder if your review was not wrongly posted. I mean, this review might be in regards with another Activity booked with another supplier. Can you please verify ? We truly care about the experience lived by of our clients on our tours. It is really of Paramount to us, so please give us more details (Booking Number, Date you took the tour) as we truly doubt that what you describe, is about what you experienced with one of our guide.
