Versailles Palace and Gardens Tour with Gourmet Lunch by Chef Ducasse

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to read that you were not fully satisfied with your tour. On the day of your visit everyone was very early at the meeting point in Paris, which allowed us to take an earlier train to Versailles than our scheduled train. So you arrived there earlier than normal, which did mean a longer wait at the palace for the start time of the tour, but we feel it's better to wait there than at the Paris meeting point so that you can enjoy the beautiful views of the palace. It's especially beautiful early in the morning, it was designed to face the rising sun (Louis XIV was 'the Sun King' after all!) so the whole palace glitters gold as the sun rises over it. Your guide is very experienced and gets many excellent reviews very regularly, we are sorry to read that you did not feel that he was as knowledgeable as you hoped. If you would like to contact us directly and tell us more that would be very helpful, we would like to understand more as we received other reviews for this same tour that were very complimentary about him. Any extra feedback from our guests is always precious to us as it allows us fully understand your hopes for your visits and to be constantly improving them, we aim to always exceed your expectations. Perhaps next time if you come back to Paris we could take you to the Private Domain of Marie-Antoinette, further down in the gardens at Versailles, it's also absolutely wonderful!
