Meet your guide at your hotel in the morning prior to a 7:30 a.m. departure. Drive through the countryside for roughly an hour, meandering past brightly painted towns, groves of ceiba trees, and fields of sugar cane en route to your boarding point near Palo Verde National Park on the Tempisque River.
Board a small motor-powered boat and embark on a two-hour cruise down the river, known for housing a wide range of wild animals such as herons, egrets, monkeys, crocodiles, and iguanas. Learn about these animals and the ecosystem that supports them from a guide with extensive knowledge about the area as you go.
The tour ends with a delicious typical Costa Rican lunch before transferring back to your hotel.
