Mahogany Bay Cruise Terminal You will meet outside your Mahogany Bay cruise terminal. Please walk outside the cruise terminal towards the concrete hill, exit the guard post and walk down the hill. your guide from "Roatan Getaway Tours" will be waiting for you. They would be holding a sign with their name ROATAN GETAWAY TOURS. Hotel pick up at Front desk

Awesome time!! I'd suggest going at the 1pm because there isn't a crowd but very cool time. Snorkeling on that side of the island was better. We seen huge lobster, puffer fish and conch.

This was an extremely good deal for how much fun we had. Although the excursion was not incredibly descriptive, it went beyond expectations. It was easy to find our tour guide outside of our cruise port, the sanctuary was small and intimate and the boat ride and snorkel was beautiful! we even had extra time to be dropped off at a small beach with loungers and a bar before returning to ship. You definitely get an up close encounter with all of the animals you are expecting to encounter on the excursion. Snorkeling was done in a safe and easy area but there wasn’t a huge ton of different organisms to see and the corals were fairly basic. Lots of fun still though. Very accessible trip to guests not used those these close animal encounters.

This tour exceeded our expectations. We loved the animal sanctuary! My mom was able to cuddle with a sloth, her life long dream (she is 78 years old). The monkeys were very inquisitive and loved to interact. The snorkeling guide was super knowledgeable and was very attentive to the group. Saw starfish, lots of fish and even a sea slug. Our driver was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Loved this tour and would book it again when we return to the island

This was so much fun. The family that run the sanctuary really care about the animals and it shows. Loved the sloths and monkeys. The snorkeling was just long enough and there was still plenty of time for lunch, sightseeing. And shopping before we had to board our ship.

He answered any questions we had and as well as great recommendations on what to do and what to eat around Roatán. We really enjoyed seeing the monkeys and sloth as well. I booked this expirence with a friend during a cruise. I was a little skeptical at first only because I've never booked an excursion apart from the cruiseline; however, as soon as I met our taxi driver, who is AWESOME by the way - shoutout to Ashley, I was so excited!! This expirence was my favorite of the entire cruise/trip! The guides were amazing, the food was spectacular, and the sights were one in a million. It's safe to say we really had a blast! I will definitely be back in the future.

It all started from the moment we were picked up from our hotel. Monique was so warm and welcoming. We felt right at home. We felt like we had our own private tour as it was just me and my family. When we visited the animals every person that showed us the different animals we friendly and very knowledgeable. The snorkeling had to be the highlight! The tour guide was extremely fun and knowledgeable. You can feel his passion for the marine life. It was transmitted to all of us.

It was not a very far drive to the sanctuary where we got to hold the sloths, macaws, and interact with the monkeys. A great experience for any age person. After that we went to snorkel over some reef that had a lot of fish and other sea life. Every tour guide we had was professional and informative. I highly recommend this tour

We had a wonderful time in Roatan! We met the tour guide outside the Carnival cruise port without any problems. First we drove to the animal place. There were other tour groups there, and they lead groups of 10-12 people through at a time. Everyone has ample to time to hold and take pictures with the animals. The sloths are amazing. They are so gentle and sweet. The monkey are just so fun! Then we went for the snorkel boat. "Turtle Man" was our guide for the snorkeling, and he was great! There were about 15-20 people in our group. They took us out to sea, just to 5' deep water. It was beautiful and refreshing. Turtle Man led us around and found different sea creatures to show everyone. Our driver was very friendly and told us a lot about Roatan as she drove us back to the port.

This excursion was by far one of the best we have been on. Philip, our guide and driver was so polite and shared information about Roatan, the sights while we were driving to see the monkeys. The monkeys, sloths and parrots was definitely the highlight. We got to all visit and took our time with each species. The snorkeling was a 2 minute drive to a shallow reef where we saw a lot of different type of sea life and colorful fish and coral. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved this tour (family of 4: 2 adults, 15 y.o. & 12 y.o.). The keepers are knowledgeable about the animals and the animals are clearly comfortable with people. Holding the sloths was sweet and unique but I have to say the Capuchin monkeys stole the show! They were hilarious. The snorkeling was amazing - clear, warm, shallow water where you can see everything. We saw many colorful fish, conch peeking out of their shells, a Spiny lobster and a giant crab. The snorkeling gear was really nice and didn't fog up like some equipment. The two main downsides, that detracted only slightly from the overall amazing experience, were the meeting point outside of the terminal (hot, no shade, confusing, crowded, lots of street traffic, etc.) and that we had a long wait at AJ's Sanctuary before we could see the animals - I think there were three large groups in front of us when we arrived and we just had to sit and wait for a while. (And, FYI, face masks were not requested/enforced and temperatures were not taken on our tour as advertised.) But other than those few very minor issues, we had a fabulous time on this tour.
