Monkeys and Sloth Hang Out with Island Tour in Roatan

To get the time to literally hang out with the monkeys and hold the sloth was sooooo amazing. Our tour guide was friendly and we shared the van with just one other family so that was great.

We looked forward to this excursion having booked it months in advance to accompany our cruise. We reserved a van to accommodate our group of 10 family members and we confirmed every detail of the excursion BEFORE arriving at that port of call (Roatan). Upon arrival in Roatan, we found our way to the pick up location with some help from people inside the port. We arrived early and had a short wait before Craig assigned us a driver. Although we paid for the ENTIRE 10 seat van in advance, 2 additional riders were added to our van. Then without much communication, the driver chose to take us on a “tour” that lasted almost 1.5 hours. The driver narrated the 1st 10-15 min of the ride before it turned into nothing more than a glorified taxi ride. Little did we know that the highlight of the excursion, the monkeys and Sloths were only a 4-5 min WALK from the cruise port!!! A few people in my family were severely motion sick after the extended winding ride to nowhere. We spent, what amounted to, about 30min at the animal park. We felt cheated!!! Had we know that the animals were RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET from the port we would have just walked over there and saved a ton of time and money. Though the driver was nice enough, I would not recommend Henry Tours to anyone. We didn’t get what we paid for.

Such an amazing experience. Something I get to cross off my bucket list. The guide met us at the entrance and was very informative. The sloths were soooo cute. The monkeys were hilarious and so interactive. We had such a great time. Definitely something we would do again if we get the opportunity to visit Honduras in the future.

We had agrest time , favorite was holding sloth. Our Tour guide knew a lot about sloths, monkeys and birds.

Preston a great guide all the way through. Her was very knowledgeable and informative, easy to understand and a great conversationalist. We were never rushed and got to spend a lot of time with the sloths, monkeys and other animals. This was truly the highlight of our trip. I would recommend this excursion to everyone.

We had a wonderful time. We had Adolph as our host for our excursion with Henry’s Rotaan Tours & he was amazing. The first stop was the Monkey & Sloth hangout. Got to hold Sid the Sloth, monkeys & birds. It was great. Then Adolph took us around the island to some beautiful beaches, chocolate factory & pointed out interesting sites. We had been here several times but this excursion was one of our favorites because Aldoph was so kind & amazing.

My daughter with the sloths and monkeys was incredible. A little disorganization because our ship was late, but they helped work through it.

Lots of fun with the monkeys and sloths and parrots at Daniel Johnson's place, but get there some other way. After looping around the west end seeing sights fly by, we stopped for a chocolate "factory" and crafts store. They were interesting, but then we went back to the port and waited in the van 45 minutes for another group to show up. When they finally did, the van was crowded to overflowing so it was a good thing that we went straight to Daniel Johnson's and straight back afterwards.

You Get to HOLD a SLOTH!!! Omg ❤ 🥳 and Monkeys 🐒 and Parrotts. We will be doing this exact tour with Henry Tours next year! Gavin was an excellent guide at the sanctuary. Conveniently picked up outside the port, just past the security gate and down a hill. No big cruise crowds was a pleasure. LOVE private tours! Best of all so affordable
