If you love history and culture, this tour is for you! Sergio was such a knowledgeable guide and I learned so much about Costa Rica and it’s rich history. I got to visit two museums, the central market (my fav) a couple other landmarks and end the day with an authentic lunch. Highly recommend!

Very good tour. With just a handful of guests, we still felt very rushed becuase of the time it takes to navigate from one location to another through jam packed San Jose traffic. Plus the time it takes to pick up guests from their hotel. The included lunch was ok, nothing special.

I found the tour of SAN José very interesting. However, we were staying at the DoubleTree Hotel, which is a little out of town. It took 1 hour to get from the hotel to the start point and 2 hours to get from the end of the tour back to the hotel. I appreciate that this was due to heavy traffic, and nothing to do with the tour company. However, it made it a very long day, for what was, a half day tour.

The tour bus drove around so quickly that we often couldn't get photos even out of the window of monuments, buildings, churches etc so there wasn't much point in the tour. They also completely missed several major monuments like the Liberty monument and the Children's Museum. The ride itself was very short as well.

Be prepared to spent 40 min to 75 min on the mini bus collecting passengers from hotels...the more hotels, the longer the ride. Once assembled at the soccer field, the tour on the red double decker bus begins. Sergio our guide was most impressive of his history knowledge. From then on it was a good tour. Hits the highlights of old San José. Enjoyed the Gold Museum.

Everything about this particular tour was outstanding. From receiving an email advising me of what time was pick up at the hotel and having them show up early was fantastic. The guide himself provided us with plenty of information about every stop and was not rushing at all. Forgot his name. The musician on the bus was great as well. Overall everything was great. Highly recommend this tour
