We hiked the Lake-22 trail and it was a magical place. At the end of the trail, there is a beautiful lake in front of the snow capped mountains. Highly recommended! Emily and Lisa were great guides. They took good care and provided all the necessary gears for the hike. They shared good hiking tips and incredible stories. Absolutely love to hike with them again on a different trail. We had a wonderful day. Our guide emailed us ahead of the trip to ask what our experience and ability level was and gave us options for the hike. She showed up at our hotel with a lovely breakfast and coffee for us. She drove us to the trailhead where we were provided with a backpack, water and basic supplies. The hike was gorgeous and we were given a nice lunch. Overall just a great experience.

The hike to the Wallace waterfalls was one of the most enjoyable one. The short hike up the mountains entailed a beautiful trail of fauna culminating into a 1000feet gush of a waterfall. The sound of the flowing water and the chirping of the birds were music to the ears. Quiet and serene in that sense, the true “Sound of Silence” can really be experienced and treasured forever. Beginners in hiking can make it too. Emily was a wonderful guide and a wonderful host too. The hike felt more like a close knit family hike. We were also joined by Emily’s Mom Lisa who was terrific and added to the sweetness of the trail. DAYPACKED- was indeed day packed- packed with fun, joy, thrill and lots of sweat. Kudos to Emily. From the moment Emily picked me up, I had a terrific day! The hike was perfectly selected for my experience and preferences. It was a gorgeous trail, we hiked at the perfect pace, and ended up just the right amount of exhausted. Every detail was thought through, from the contents of the backpack she supplied to the breakfast to the great lunch. Highly recommend this experience!

What a great hike! Our trip to Seattle would not have been complete without some kind of hike into the outdoors. And Emily was a perfect guide! When we set up the trip she got a hold of me to ask about our level of experience and what kind of nature sites we would like to see. Then she offered up two different itineraries for us to choose from and we selected a waterfall hike. It was perfect. Hiking up 1,300' to see the falls was our choice and it was a good level of exercise for us. What's even better was the conversation with Emily. She knows so much about the area and is a great resource with picking out plants, wildlife and the best views of nature. She even sets you up with your own survival pack for the hike. Top it off, the breakfast & lunch she packed for us - What a great touch! I would recommend Emily and her company, Daypacked, to anyone looking to get out of a "sightseeing van" and actually hike around the great spots of Seattle.

Everyone deserves to have someone like Emily in their life, even if it is only for 5-7 hours on a hike. I wanted to book the hiking tour my first full day in Seattle when I didn’t have a rental car, but hesitated. By the time I was ready, that day was no longer available. I ended up booking it on my last full day in Seattle even though normally I would just go explore on my own when I have a rental car. It turns out to be the best decision ever! As many have pointed out, Emily is excellent at communicating and setting up a plan beforehand. Being from Southern California, I was worried about the weather on the day of the hike. The forecast showed pouring rain all morning. It also warned of possible avalanche. We decided to do Lake 22, which is covered in snow. The weather forecast warned of possible avalanche. We agreed to give it a shot, but would stop if it felt too dangerous to proceed. I am so glad to have Emily there as I was definitely out of my comfort zone with the weather. There was a lot of fresh snow. In addition, I had hiked 13+ miles the previous two days, so my out-of-shape knee was hurting pretty bad. That really slowed down the pace, but Emily was very patient and positive with me. I also managed to break the hiking pole when I slipped and fell in the snow! She let me use hers and went through the rest of the hike without one. I am so happy to have done this hike with Emily, one that I would not have challenged myself to do solo under the conditions. In a world where superlatives are often overused, there aren’t words that will adequately describe how amazing Emily is. Everything about this hiking tour exceeded my expectations. Emily is organized, patient, kind, caring, positive, and provides a great hiking experience. She is simply the best of the best! I would go on any hike with her anytime, anywhere!
