This activity will end right where it started. We'll pick you up where you're staying in Downtown Seattle including any hotel, Airbnb, hostels, and the port. If you are staying outside our legal downtown pick-up zone, we are happy to meet you at our default pick up location—The Sheraton Grand Hotel. We offer pick-up on Bainbridge Island or in Port Angeles upon request. We will call/text/email around noon the day prior to your tour to confirm your pick-up location and exact pick-up time. After being picked up at your hotel in downtown Seattle, climb into a luxury vehicle and begin the journey to Olympic National Park.

The park features snow-covered mountains, rain forests, and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, including sixteen species of plants and animals that evolved here—and nowhere else. Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment.

Learn forest ecology and the geology of the stunning Olympic Mountains. Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for incredible mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of stunning Crescent Lake in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. This lake was carved by glaciers, so it’s an ideal spot for those in search of natural beauty. On days when weather closes access to Hurricane Ridge, visit the sandy coastline of the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge or spend more time among the forests and waterfalls of the Elwha Valley.

At midday, a gourmet picnic is provided. Please see the Itinerary section for menu information.

The guide was very nice,...
Marek_G
, May 2022
The guide was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Five stars for the guide. However, the mini-bus ride was awful. It was cramped and since my wife and I were picked up last, we had to sit in separate rows next to strangers for the entire 12 hour day. This was not ok and we will never take a trip such as this ever again.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Hi Marek, Thank you for sharing your experience, I'm sorry our tour wasn't what you were looking for. Hopefully you and your wife were able to be together for the few hours of the tour where you weren't in the van. If you ever aren't happy on your tour, you should let you guide know so they can adjust and make the trip more enjoyable for you. Our tours are not run out of large buses as we want to keep our guest capacity limited to 10. Our vans don't have the space a charter bus would, but we're able to go places those buses can't go and keep the experience more intimate and personal for each of our travelers. For anyone specifically looking for larger bus based tours, I would be happy to offer recommendations for local companies who provide this type of experience! Best of luck in your future travels, DJ | Evergreen Escapes

My fiance and I did the all-inclusive day tour of Olympic National Park with our tour guide Meg. We had an amazing time! Meg kept us well-supplied with extra jackets, snowshoes, and a seemingly endless supply of snacks and drinks. Lunch was delicious and we saw so many cool sights. Meg was very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna as well. Highly recommended tour!

Great trip. Sean was one the best tour guides I have had with intimate knowledge of the park and he took us to some of the most beautiful spots in the NP. Too bad we could not do Hurricane Ridge due to the snowstorm, but other than that everything was perfect.

Mossy & Snowy
Kimberly_V
, May 2022
Our tour guide Sean started the journey off with amazing geographical, historical and comical stories. Crescent Lake was mystic and filled with crystal turquoise water. The hike to the waterfall was mossy and enchanting. From there we went snow shoeing in Hurricane Ridge. An unexpected but amazing change of adventure. Oh yeah, lunch was delicious as well! Thank you Sean and Allyson.
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Hi Kimberly, Thank you for the kind words and sharing your experience! With how many different sights you get to see on the Olympic National Park tour, it's no wonder that tour is one of our most popular! Cheers, DJ | Evergreen Escapes

Amazing but too much traveling
Alfonso_L
, May 2022
So the tour guides were amazing and they really take care of us. what I did not like was the whole concept of the tour. We didnt see enough of the peninsula and most of the time we traveled by car and ferry (so, 6 hours of driving and ferry in total+ driving between places) . I think the trip would make a lot more sense with just one stop and walking the rest of the day, probabbly adding some coast to the hiking . You dont pay 300 dollars to be stuck 7+ hours in a car. Just be mindful of that. The park and the places you see are indeed amaZing and beautiful though
icon Response from Host , May 2022
Hi Alfonso, Thanks for sharing your experience, I am sorry we didn't meet your expectations. The drive out to the Olympic National Park is quite a long drive, even with it being broken up with the ferry ride. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about that. If we just stopped at one location, we don't think our guests would get to see as much of the park as they should - we really like to highlight the diversity of the park. Driving out to the coast would actually add roughly another two hours to the drive time, so that would equate to more time in the car, and less time being able to explore the park. I am glad you thought the sights were amazing and beautiful, and hope that the diversity you were able to see made the trip more worth it. Best of luck in your future travels, DJ | Evergreen Escapes

We have a really great guide! He is nice, and professional and also prepared really good food, drinks and snacks for us. I like the walks in the forest, which gave us a great exploring experience. It is good to see so many interesting and unique species along the way. I think it’s totally worth the money.

Disappointing Olympic National Park Excursion.
Tina_D
, Apr. 2022
I was disappointed with this excursion. 3/4 of the time was spent in the van driving. I expected to hike Hurricane Ridge, what we did was walk on a paved service road until we reached the hiking trail access point, then turned around and walked back to the van. The lunch was terrific, cold grilled chicken with cold cheese tortellini-pesto salad, warm vegetable soup, cold tofu and French bread. Cold canned sodas to drink. We then drove to Crescent Lake, where we were supposed to go for an hour hike in the rain forest, only to be told we had run out of time. We had 15 minutes to eat a cookie then drive two hours back to the ferry to Seattle. Meg our tour leader was very nice and responsive to everyone , but had no time management skills. If we spent too much time waiting for bathrooms and attempting to put on snow shoes we should have then shortened the walk to Hurricane Ridge so that we had ample time to hike the rain forest. I should have done the trip on my own for 1/3 if the excursion cost.
icon Response from Host , Apr. 2022
Hi Tina, Thank you for sharing your experience. I am very sorry you did not enjoy your tour with us. We always appreciate constructive feedback in areas where we can improve or failed to meet guest expectations. I will address your list of concerns here for anyone else who may be reading this before deciding to book a tour with our team. The drive out to Olympic National Park is a long one, there is no denying that. The drive is about 2.5 hours each way, so there is quite a bit of time spent in the van. The ride is broken up a bit with the ferry ride and some stops along the way, but I apologize if you were unaware of the length of the drive to get to the park and were frustrated with how long it took to get there. Our tours are meant to accommodate guests from all walks of life, and do not take difficult or technical trails as we have to take into account the ability levels and interests of everyone in the group. With that said, we may have fallen short with the timing throughout the day, and appreciate you bringing that to our attention. We do offer private tours where we can conduct the tour according to what you want to do if you're after a more specific or demanding hiking experience, or to avoid the group dynamic. Again, I am sorry that you don't feel the value you received is what you thought you should receive. Best of luck in your future travels, DJ | Evergreen Escapes

Great way to experience Olympic National Park
Frank_C
, Apr. 2022
Overall it was a positive experience. Meg, the tour guide was great and very helpful. The park is definitely really unique and we got to see lots of different parts of it but obviously there were parts skipped due to time constraints. The biggest negative was the weather, which is unpredictable. If I had to do it again I would not come here unless it is summer, as it was extremely wet and rainy. It makes it difficult when you are being rained on the whole day. Lunch was good but not everybody may be able to eat the lunch provided so I would consider that when booking. I think one of the best parts was the ferry, which I felt was part of the essential Seattle experience. It is also quite a drive to get up to the park so I would be prepared to sit in the van for long times. I would say it is a good way to experience Olympic national park, but the experience will be very weather dependent. It is definitely nice not having to drive and navigate.
icon Response from Host , Apr. 2022
Hi Frank, The weather definitely plays a factor in the overall experience, and I am sorry it didn't cooperate with you on your tour. Hopefully you come back out in the summer to experience another tour with better weather! DJ | Evergreen Escapes

Very beautiful park.
shrayashi_g
, Apr. 2022
The beach was beautiful. The crescent lake was also beautiful. The hurricane ridge was closed the day I went. I just wish we could have done one more stop as hurricane ridge was closed. Maybe the rainforest . But the guide took us the to remaining places on the itinerary. Other than that the trip was perfect.
icon Response from Host , Apr. 2022
Hi Shrayahi, I'm disappointed to see you only gave a 4-star review when you had a near perfect trip to some beautiful destinations. Unfortunately sometimes weather or other factors make it so we can't visit a particular area of the National Parks, but our guides are very good at making the best decisions to visit the best location for each day - as you mentioned. With the distance to the rainforest, it's just not feasible to go all the way out there on a day tour. You would essentially be able to get out of the van for 15-30 minutes and then have to get back in and drive home - that doesn't sound like a fun day to us. Kind regards, DJ | Evergreen Escapes

We had such a great time on this tour!! Meg was our guide and was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable! As out of state travelers, trying to navigate a new National park with potential road closures, finding all the good stuff to see and even just avoiding getting a rental car made this trip so worth it! Everything was super convenient from the pick up/drop off to Meg handling all the meals/snacks. Our lunch was super tasty- homemade sweet potato salad, chicken and soup. My fiancé is a very picky eater and he really enjoyed everything! Only snafu was delayed ferry back due to a soccer game but really only got us back 15 min later than planned. Overall, we’ll remember snowshoeing in Hurricane Ridge forever!
