Great first lesson for two beginners

Me and a friend (both beginners) did a semi private lesson with Kurt. We had a great time and Kurt was great at getting us standing up on waves within 5 minutes and was very knowledgable as well as being a good laugh. 5 stars

Instructors are very friendly, supportive, knowledgeable and patient. They were as excited as we were when we had a good run. Definitely would recommend Iguana Surf Shop to anyone who wants to surf for the first time. They are the best!

Just being able to get the hang of standing up. I honestly had so much fun and it was the first time surfing ever. My instructor Anthony was so nice and patient. Made me feel very comfortable especially when I was unsure of surfing etiquette.

The instructors at Iguana Surf really know their stuff! My 15 year-old son had a great experience learning to surf. The instructor spent 2 full hours with him. The equipment was in good condition as well. Highly recommend it!

I was so so excited for these lessons. It was myself and my son and I booked a semi private. The instructors were nice, but ended up having less than 2 hours which I read in quite a few reviews. I saw some instructors having the students pose for pictures at the end. I asked ours to stop so my daughter could get a picture. My son had to yell to them cuz they were up ahead snd him/I were trudging behind carrying the boards. After, I realized why we had to ask to have my daughter take a picture- their guy tried to sell us pictures for $40. I loved the experience and if we had more time, I would have taken another lesson but from another place. Definitely try the surfing while in tamarindo!!

The photographer is an independent worker, and he sells the pictures, they are not part of the package. Our mission is to provide you the best, most fun experience in the water so you fall in love with surfing as we are in love with such an amazing sport.
