Must-See Experience!

This was an awesome excursion! Went with 5 of my girlfriends. Our pick up was originally scheduled for 8 am, but changed to 9:20 am. I was initially worried because we had COVID-testing scheduled for 12:50 pm that day and needed to be back at the hotel before then. The company understood and assured us that they would do their best to get us back in time. Our driver, Genaro “Big G” was THE BEST!!! If you get him, you’re in for a good time for sure! Big G did a great job of informing us of what to expect when we arrived and played fun music in the car to get everyone excited for the day. Our ride to Casa Tortuga Cenotes was only 5 minutes as we so it was very convenient for us. Once there, we opted for the private tour (cost $32 US more for that) and had a wonderful experience with Agusto. Once we were fitted for our life jackets, He took us to and through the 4 Cenotes on the property and shared some interesting facts and folklore about each one. We also had an amazing photographer who captured our experiences in the Cenotes - You can purchase those at the end. They also have food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) at the site for purchase. It says it can take 4-5 hours, but if you go early (We were there before 10 am) and opt for the private tour guide, you could be done in less than 3 hours. We missed the big crowds that came after us. We capped off our adventure with a celebratory shot of tequila before heading back to the hotel, courtesy of Big G! That was fun! He also offered cold sodas and water as well. Overall, totally worth it for the money. Communication was good with the company. So many great places to take pictures and the Cenotes were breathtaking. It exceeded my expectations. This will be an experience I remember for years to come!

The first cenote is great for kids. Easy to get in and out of the water. There’s a restaurant on site so anyone can eat afterwards

Wasted my whole day with this tour. Avoid.

The tour guides collected me for the wrong tour. Yes, there will be a cenote visit, but not until I’ve sat through two agonising stops for the rest of the group to take basic b photos for their Instagram. Now I’m sitting in a roadside shack while they all visit a ruins site that I’ve already seen. I just wanted to swim in cenotes and go back to my hotel. Instead my entire last day of vacation is being wasted. Side note - as I’m the only English speaker in the group, the guide is just giving all info in Spanish and not bothering to translate. I’d like a refund.

Your tour was set for Friday , you canceled last minute , regardless as it was last minute and policies are to consider no show of client , we kindly offer free upgrade for next day tour cenotes your plus ancient piramids FREE , sometimes being kind and try to help our clients ends up worst , I’m Really sorry you dislike the 2 extra stops (10 min distance from cenotes ) and visiting Mayan culture wonder city tulum ruined your day

Only Spanish?
Sheri_W

It was a nice adventure, but most of the group I was put with were Spanish speaking and so most of the information was given in Spanish. The guide did offer taking pictures of me which I thought was very nice. Even without the English translation, it was a neat experience!

Our driver never picked us up! Please refund immediately, this ruined our whole day. We picked a very easy pick up spot, the playa carmen hilton, we waited for an hour and no one came. Very disappointing.

the beauty of the 4 cenotes, the bates, and the food The travel to the site was very long and we had to pick up people in Tulum that wasted a lot of time.

My tour started off rough because I thought the trip was going to be canceled due to the fact that they forgot about us. I called and spoke to the owner Arturo and he was extremely apologetic about the issue. He was very professional and Friendly and fix the problem right away. He set us up with another tour guide, Murray, and he was so awesome and made our tour experience comfortable and amazing! 👏🏾👏🏾 I was looking forward to visiting the 4 cenotes and believe me when I say it is DEFINITELY worth the visit. They are so beautiful and the water is so clear. The caves were beautiful...you will definitely enjoy this trip. Thank you so much Arturo for the great customer service and fixing the issue right away. I really, really appreciate it and THANK YOU so much for your hospitality. Also, thanks Murray our tour guide for driving us around so I can see everything I wanted to see...ie (Mother Nature sculpture, Tulum sign) you all are truly amazing and I recommend doing this tour 100%.

Angel was fabulous! We could not have asked for a better tour guide. Took care of us: water, beer, authentic lunch, history lessons, hilarious, personable! You will not regret his company. Ceynotes Casa Tortugas were fabulous!

I tried to upload pictures but it kept giving me an error, but this place was absolutely beautiful! It started raining when we got to the last cenote and that meant that the Mayans were blessing us. It was beautiful

Avoid booking with this group

I don’t like writing bad reviews and I want to be clear that this review is about this company and not our driver, who was very kind and tried to keep us happy during an awful situation. We were picked up over 30 minutes late. Then we were told that the trip was actually to go visit Tulum ruins first, then the cenotes at Casa Tortuga. I had specifically booked this trip just to do the 4-hour cenotes trip as explained in the description. We talked to our driver and he was able to drop us off at the cenotes while everyone else went on to Tulum. Except then we had no way to get back unless we paid a taxi what we had already paid the tour company for transportation, and of course, the tour company was unwilling to cover a taxi. So we agreed to wait for the rest of the group because they said it would be 1-2 more hours maximum for everyone to be ready to head home. But the tour company ended up picking up multiple more groups and we were forced to wait at Casa Tortuga while the rest of them finished their trips and then had meals for almost 4-5 more hours. We didn’t get back to our hotel until after 6pm. It was a stressful, exhausting, and upsetting experience to be repeatedly lied to about the duration of the trip and what to expect. They offered zero apologies or attempts to make anything better. Do not use this company, they will try to squeeze as many people and stops into a trip that you did not sign up for to make as much money as possible.

SPECTACULAR

The Cenotes were amazing. It has inspired me to visit other countries underground caves and sink holes. I have also invested in a waterproof camera since it was heart wrenching to not take pics of such beauty. The price for the trip was affordably priced and worth every penny.

Do not book Viator
todd_s
, Aug. 2021
This is a great tour....but be careful....they will talk you into taking other tours with Viator in Playa/Tulum....and that is a mistake....The Ocean Cruise with drinks...they didnt pick us up, and the tour operator would not take our calls....We booked Holbox, and they treated us like a second class person...definitely do NOT LIKE USA people. If your driver is ROBERTO...get out of the van...he drives very dangerously...I dont know how we didnt blow a tire..he is not a good person. IF you decide to book Viator, make sure you over communicate and do NOT trust a word they say...verify and have back up.

The whole experience at the Cenotes was amazing. Highly recommend this tour but early in the morning before it gets crowded. Some of our group did not know how to swim but our tour guide Angle Calzada ensured everyone was safe and had a great time. One of best tour guides I ever had on a tour.

Everything about this tour was perfect...small group...guide Angel was very friendly and helpful and would definitely book with them again...once we got to the Cenote Tortuga, Louis was our guide and did an awesome job explaining to us all about the types of cenotes. You have the chance to swim in two cave and to open cenotes. Both my kids lived it...definitely the highlight of their trip!!
