Sorrento Coast and Capri boat tour from Amalfi

The boat trip around Capri was an absolute stunning experience. But This particular tour is a bit misleading in the way it is described. First of all this is not a boat pick up in Amalfi - it is a mini bus ride from Amalfi to Sorrento. Once you arrive in Sorrento you will wait for 45 minutes to be placed on a boat. Our tour didn’t officially start until almost 11 with an 8:30 pick up in Amalfi. If I had known I would’ve taken a ferry to Sorrento and purchased the trip directly. Next the trip is billed as a swimming and snorkel experience. It is not. We had 10 minutes of swimming at a busy spot and then looked at each of the grottos from the boat. Definitely seemed like the other boats were swimming a lot more than we were which was a bit of a let down. Once we arrived in capri we had an excessive amount of time on our hands because five hours is far too much for Capri. The town is on a hillside it’s very hot and there’s not a lot to do other than tourist shops. After about an hour we decided to make our way down the ferry and just take a jet boat back to Amalfi town directly which was a fantastic idea. Air conditioning, no car sickness from the crazy car ride through the hills and mountains etc. In the future we will spend the extra money and get a private boat so we can do all the snorkeling and swimming that we desire and not be on any sort of Preset schedule. But the boat itself was beautiful and clean, the crew courteous and fun, and the trip around Capri was.stunning and it is not something anyone should miss if in the area.

this excursion was AWESOME!! just a disclaimer, the tour does not start in amalfi; a driver picks you up in amalfi and drives you to sorrento. we did not mind that at all. our skippers, jacamo & francesca were so wonderful, fun and out going. they take you to all the hot spots and more (except for blue grotto, which is fine because you get to dive off the boat and swim in a grotto elsewhere). they provide drinks and snacks, as well. we luckily had a small group of 10 people which didn’t make the boat feel crowded. they dropped us off in capri for 4 hours on the dot, so my boyfriend & i got lunch, took a nap on the beach and walked the area! this is a FULL DAY tour so get rest the night before! i would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a boat tour because the price is very reasonable. other boat tours cost you about 115€ to only see the blue grotto.

This tour was absolutely fantastic. Such a beautiful place with a really fun host. They played amazing music explained things and we had so much fun dancing. This place is magical I cannot wait to go back and would definitely recommend this tour

We loved the boat ride to Capri. It was comfortable & not crowded. Our boat had 10 passengers & max was 12. The drinks and snacks were perfect. Our skipper was great & our guide was wonderful.

My wife and I had a great experience on this tour during a recent vacation to the Amalfi Coast! The guides Roberta and Nino were great - very friendly, knowledgable, and engaging. Pick-up in Amalfi was easy and convenient. The boat ride out to and around Capri was such a great way to spend a beautiful afternoon - the beer / wine / champagne / snacks they provided onboard was a great touch! We had plenty of time on the island to explore and shop. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast!

This was an awesome experience! Definitely recommend to see Capri this way. It was very convenient to have the transfer from Amalfi to Sorrento and get the boat from there. Our skippers Andrea and Gian were super friendly and informative and showed us around the island from the boat with time for photos. They were also very helpful with tips for how to get around on the island itself. It was nice to have the smaller tour size of 12 people on the boat and the boat itself was very comfortable and nice!

We were initially skeptical because there were not many reviews but it was amazing!! It was the highlight of our trip to the Amalfi coast. Our tour guide was a woman who lives on Capri and she was very knowledgeable about the area. The weather was a bit chilly when we went so recommend bringing a wind breaker!

I went with a friend group that I was studying abroad with, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As students we were splurging a little bit on the price of this trip, however it was very worth it at the end of the day. The boat, our crew, and the other groups were very enjoyable, and to see & explore Capri was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I would fully recommend this tour.

An absolutely incredible experience. The staff was professional from start to finish. We saw all of the sights around Capri that would’ve been challenging to reach alone. We did pass by the blue grotto but did not stop to go in. I preferred it that way because I would not want to wait until the sun for hours. The tour made much better use of that time. Highly recommended!
