Beautiful Cinque Terre

Freddie the tour guide was wonderful and so was Giovanni the bus driver. We were driving in from Panzano and hit traffic which made us late by 10 minutes to the bus even though we had allowed plenty of time to get there. I appreciate the understanding of Freddie and Giovanni for waiting for us. The bus was very nice and the information provided by Freddie was excellent. I would recommend this trip.

Beautiful landscape rain or shine

We were hesitant about the tour because it was torrentially raining. We dressed for the weather and took a chance. Our guide Freddie was terrific. He was very knowledgeable and informative and he worked with the weather as best as he could. We bought rain ponchos at our first stop in Manarola and that made the rest of the day more comfortable. The ferry was not running but the train was an easy way to get from place to place. Even with the rain it was easy to appreciate the landscape and scenery of these fishing villages. We ended up in Monterosso where we were given free time to have lunch and look around. What we were not prepared for was that most of the restaurants required reservations for lunch and we wondered around looking for lunch for far to long. Finally we found a restaurant/pizzeria called Lapo's that let us dine in their outdoor covered space. It was a very welcomed break. My advice for this tour is to charge a little more and include a lunch reservation for the tour guests or at least make it an option. I highly recommend this tour as it was the perfect overview of one of Italy's most beautiful places.

Freddy was our guide, Julian our driver. I highly recommend going on this tour and if possible, doing it with them. By carefully managing various schedules like trains and boats, we really maximized our time and avoided long lines on a very busy Easter Monday. Freddy treated us as his guests, gave us great information about what we were seeing, where to eat, etc. We went to three towns of Cinque Terre. Definitely time well spent!

Freddy was so knowledgeable and fun and knows all the tips and tricks around not only the cities of cinque terre, but he gave us more information about Italy than we ever could have imagined. The main thing I got from this trip was that I needed to go back to Cinque Terra and spend more time. Our guide Valerio and driver Ricardo did a great job shuttling us to the towns and getting us on the train and ferry. The towns are beautiful and the trip was just too short.

Great small group excursion to Cinque Terre

My friend and I decided to book the small group excursion to Cinque Terre, and we are very glad we did. The excursion could have been a disaster, because our scheduled tour guide was hit in a traffic accident and hospitalized just before our tour was scheduled to depart. The company scrambled, successfully, to find another guide, with the result that our driver, Riccardo, drove us to La Spezia, where we picked up our new guide, Emilia. Emilia was engaging, warm, and interesting. Different parts of the tour were via bus, afoot, by railway, and by boat, and Emilia navigated all of that flawlessly, even arranging for small boats for us when the ferry we would normally have taken was unavailable. This adaptation of the tour was more intimate, and arguably more fun, than the ferry ride we were expecting. The towns we visited were gorgeous, and very much worth visiting. A surprise at the end of the tour was that to compensate us for the inconvenience of the tour's rocky beginning, a company representative presented each couple with a bottle of Chianti. Although we had all enjoyed the tour in any case, and although I wouldn't expect a bottle of wine after tours that took place without any complications, I think this gesture shows this is a company that takes customer satisfaction seriously. I would book with them again, without hesitation.

Did this tour as a group of 21. Visited three towns, Manarola, Vernazza and Monterosso. All well worth a visit. The tour guide Freddie was extremely knowledgeable and entertained us the entire day even given us suggestions for our lunch stop in Monterosso. Unfortunately the sea was too rough to do the boat transfer but no big lose. To get to the best locations for photographs you need to be very active to make it within the time allowed. The small group makes this visit very easy. Highly recommended.

Good Way to see Cinque Terre

If you only have a day to make the trip to Cinque Terre and want to get a feel for the area then this would be a good day trip to take. It is a long day with some areas with steep stairs and also steep hills. Prestige Rent did a good job of getting us there and guiding us through 3 of the 5 villages. It is a surface view at best but given the territory covered it is a big ask. Enjoyed the trip and the guide Vensensio and driver Ricardo did a good job given all the ĺogistics they had to manage.

Bus and guide arrived late. Skipped one village on the tour and never told why. Guide while pleasant appeared very disorganized and didn’t provide much information on the trip. For example there are many pick pockets around and he never warned us while I overheard another guide telling his group about precautions. It was very crowded on the train platforms and we weren’t able to easily follow him as a group of 19. Also the time in each village was too short. The day should be extended some so not always rushing.

My fiancé and I booked a day tour to Cinque Terre through Viator. We arrived early and were met by our tour guide Freddie who spoke perfect English and we later realized perfect Italian. Freddie was friendly, humorous, funny and extremely informative. In short he was exceptional! We had a great day trip to Cinque Terre. Our driver Stefano did an outstanding job maneuvering the challenging roads to and from Cinque Terre. Freddie and Stefano were perfect together, combined with the absolute beauty of the region of Cinque Terre, the day was perfect. We travelled by bus, boat and train. I would definitely recommend this tour especially if you can get the same tour guide and driver.

My fiance and I went on this excursion and we had the best time. Our tour guide was Freddy and he was super funny, knowledgeable, and fun to hang out with. He showed us the best spots in the 3 towns we visited (Manarola, Monterosso, Vernazza). We felt we had enough time in each town to explore. We had some hiccups along the way but Freddy was able to smooth everything out. Our favorite part was the boat ride from Vernazza to Monterosso. Highly recommend this for anyone considering going to Cinque Terre!!!
