Meet your art historian guide in front of the Scudieri Cafè in central Florence at noon, and together walk to the nearby Piazza del Duomo, home to several of the city’s most important and iconic monuments. Begin at St. John’s Baptistery, dedicated to the patron saint of Florence and one of the city's oldest buildings. Admire the marble exterior and the ‘Gates of Paradise’ replica bronze doors before stepping inside to gaze up at the shimmering golden mosaics.

Enter the vast Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. One of the largest churches in the world, this Gothic masterpiece is crowned by Brunelleschi’s remarkable dome and features some of the finest surviving examples of Renaissance stained glass. Learn about the engineering secrets and other legends of the dome, and see devotional paintings by Giorgio Vasari, Benedetto da Maiano, Luca Della Robbia, Andrea Del Castagno, and other master artists.

Admire even more Renaissance and medieval art with included admission to the Opera del Duomo museum. See a replica of the cathedral during the time of Dante, the original ‘Gates of Paradise’ doors by Lorenzo Ghiberti, sculptures by Donatello and Michelangelo, and countless other treasures.

At the end of the 1.5-hour visual feast, treat your taste buds with a sampling of three gourmet Tuscan products — balsamic vinegar, cheese, and Chianti wine.

Canceled my tour
Linda_R
, Aug 2022
The tour I signed up for was canceled as there were not enough people. I was not notified and only told when I arrived at the meeting point. It was my last day in Florence and therefore not possible to reschedule. They could not refund me my money. They put me with another tour which was only half of what I wanted to see. It was not worth the money and was very disappointing.

Great tour of an amazing Cathedral complex. Both guides were well informed and helpful. We did expect to be able to tour the Baptistry which apparently wasn’t included

My family of 4, including two teenagers, would recommend this tour. The guide was very informative about not only the Duomo, but the history of Florence. Good guide and good experience. Thanks!

Not really good

I’ve already sent my review asking for at least 50% refund. Weather was bad. Too much information on structure and construction. 1st guide was ok to understand but 2nd guide was most difficult to hear and understand. Headsets were not offered

Informative Tour of Duomo

I enjoyed this tour - I felt like I got to see the highlights of the Baptistery, Duomo and the museum, the guide was very knowledgeable and provided a good background summary of key historical events, and I really liked the way we got to see some of the original statues and the original Ghiberti doors in the museum at the end, as well as the Michaelangelo Pieta.

Tour guide’s English difficult to understand

We went to the Duomo/Baptistry/Museum tour in Florence last weekend. The tour guide seemed very knowledgeable but her English was quite difficult to understand. That was disappointing. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for us and we didn't’ Get as much out of it as we could have with a more easily understandable guide.

Lots to see
Julie M
, Mar 2019
The tour felt a little but rushed as there was so much to see, covering the Bapistery, the Duomo and the Museum. But it's a good introduction to the 3 sites and the 72-hour ticket gives you plenty of time to go back and do some more detailed study. One point to consider. The guide's accent was very strong and it was sometimes difficult to understand her. Some of the other people taking the tour were not native English speakers and they struggled a bit.

Facilidade
