Our tour guide, Andreas,...
Renuka_R
, May 2022
Our tour guide, Andreas, was very new to the job and was doing the best he could. But, we as a group, got little direction, and just followed him like a flock of sheep at every stop. At every stop, the bus parked at least a mile away from the site and we had to walk. The driver lost his way and we had to walk 3 miles in Pisa.. we got back home close to two hours late. The bus should at least drop passengers off at a central location to get buses or cabs.

Decent typical tour

Dual tour in English and German. Lots of talking of info on the bus. Just enough time to walk/quick shop, not enough time to sit and really enjoy the sites. You get to Pisa too late to climb up, wish I would’ve known before. You’ll encounter bus loads of tourists at each stop. Lots of walking from bus parking to the actual site.

Unorganized and Non-Informative
Rebecca_K
, May 2022
The places on this tour were very nice and enjoyable. However, the tour was poorly organized and non-informative. Because there were 60 people on this tour, we were late leaving every single site, which resulted in us getting home an hour and a half later than expected. Siena had a guided tour with a local tour guide which was lovely but the Ciao Florence tour guide gave us minimal/no information about the histories of the other cities. The tour guide took us to the city center and left - it was all self-guided from that point on. Our bus driver apparently got lost when arriving at Pisa, so our tour guide decided we would walk 30 minutes in the suburbia of Pisa to get to the city center without telling us what was happening. A warning: if you are unable to walk far distances, this is not the tour for you. There is A LOT of walking involved.

Worst logistics in a tour ever
Joseph_P
, May 2022
The tour guides and driver were fine. My first issue with this tour is that there were too many people. The previous tour had 16 people. This one it seemed like 40. Secondarily, the walking was much more than noted in tour info. It is nearly 9,000 steps to the cathedral and to the to top of SG. It is 7,000+ steps to Pisa. Thirdly, after they drop you off in Florence, it is half a mile to the front of the train station, and it took over 1/2 hr to get a taxi bc of the time of day we returned (7:45 pm). Lastly, no masks were required. I am pretty sure masks are required bc they are required on the plane when you arrive, on the trains and regular buses. Ciao Florence the tour operator seems only interested in making €, vs making clients happy!!!!!

Time very well spent

, May 2022
It is a great way to know some of the highlighs of Tuscany. The trip is very well planned and organized. Of course we do not get to know anything in depth, but the time is overall very well spent. Tip: don't buy the wines at the winery.

Great trip but skip the Siena tour
Tarasita_D
, May 2022
Great explanations on all the visits and plenty of time for sightseeing and buying souvenirs without being rushed or bored. However, The contracted tour guide in Siena "Uncle Paul" was horrible as he spent most of the time allocated for the city making jokes about his popularity with women. This part of the tour was badly organized and 30-45 min was wasted before being given tickets to see the cathedral.

Book it! You will love it and be super tired after ;)
Paola_C
, May 2022
So glad I booked this! The locations were great and our guide was very informative. The bus itself wasn’t the nicest/ cleanest but our driver got us to all of our destinations safely. Pisa is the last stop of the trip but if you can save some energy it’s worth the climb. Don’t be discouraged by not having tickets beforehand. We showed up at about 5pm and I bought a ticket for 5:15. Book and enjoy!

Hike!
Sandra_R
, May 2022
Be aware that if you cannot walk 12000-15000 steps (many uphill) this isn’t the tour for you. We saw wonderful things but the drop offs from the bus were a hike even before we had to climb hills.

Great cities without driving!
NORMAN_B
, May 2022
The whole experience was a joy- the cities and architecture was stunning as was the wine tasting and simple meal- we never have contemplated driving such distances but to have someone else drive and all in one day was great. My only suggestion would be to have transport with onboard toilets taking into account both the length of the journey and the average age of the passengers! Thank you to Luca our driver and Anastasia our lead

Must love to walk extra steps
Helene_S
, May 2022
The tour guide and crew were exceptional. They went out of there way to accommodate your needs. The only major complaint is that they parked far from the venue and a lot of extra walking is required. We actually took a taxi back to the bus because the distance was so far. I recommend this tour for its content but not for east of walking

Outstanding experience at the winery. Employees friendly and attentive Warning should have been in the listing about very steep inclines except in Pisa. In Pisa but parked far away- walk to monuments included crossing many busy streets and walking through a tunnel with cars passing
